Our God has given us a helper, the Spirit, to create in us a new spirit that desires God and His ways! Let us desire Him this morning as we worship together! OUR GOAL: $000,000OUR GOAL: $5,000

Annie Armstrong is a hero for Southern Baptists. That is why the annual Easter offering honors her legacy. Miss Annie was the first corresponding secretary of Women’s Missionary Union (1888). She worked to educate and inspire children and adults to understand the importance of missions. Miss Annie was on a church planting team in Baltimore and served as a children’s leader. She also did missions in her community and on missions teams. Miss Annie prayed. How did she do all this? She wrote letters! She wrote many letters! In fact in just one year alone, she wrote nearly 18,000 letters! In addition to writing letters, Miss Annie traveled and spoke to many churches. One time, during a 21- day trip, she traveled more than 3,000 miles, visited 19 cities, and gave 26 speeches. Now it’s our turn!

Place in our hearts the prayer of giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering! Envelopes are located in the envelope holders in each pew, on the media tables, and in the front entrances of the sanctuary.

Surrender

What could God do through a person that truly surrenders to

His will? I know that He can and that He has changed the world

through individuals daring enough to trust Him completely. As

we consider the events of the triumphal entry this morning,

let us once again consider our surrender to God’s will in our

lives. If we have trusted Him as our Savior, then we must also

surrender to Him as our King.

MATTHEW 21:1-11

I. We have to surrender to God’s timing. (Matthew 21:1, 4 & 5) a) Jesus entered Jerusalem exactly when He was supposed to.

b) Being on time meant 30 years of obscure poverty.

c) Being on time meant only 3 years of public ministry

II. God’s provision follows His plan. (Matthew 21:2-3) a) We have to surrender safety.

b) We have to surrender our doubt.

III. We have to surrender to God’s plan for us. (Matthew 21:6-9) a) We have to surrender our pride.

b) We have to surrender our expectations.

IV. When we surrender to God we experience His power. (Matthew 21:10-11)
