Tardies and Absences

Complete attendance policies can be found in the student handbook.

Absent From School: Student absence must result in the parent calling the school office by 9:00 A.M. to report the absence. The absence is charged as unexcused if no call has been received by 3:00 P.M. of the following day.

Parent contact will be made after a student has accrued 5 absences and again after the 8th absence. Students who have 10 school absences (excused or unexcused) will be required to sign an attendance contract.

Tardy to School: Students who arrive tardy to school for reasons other than a late bus or illness must sign in at the front office. Parents receive a letter of notification after the 5th unexcused tardy and each tardy thereafter results in a detention.

Tardy to Class: Each teacher records tardies to class. After the third tardy, a notification is sent to the parent. Each tardy after the third results in a detention.
