All About Mrs Parry!Hi! I hope you are all safe and well and working hard on your home learning. My name is Mrs Parry and I am going to be your new teacher. I have been working at Tonge Moor Primary Academy for 19 years!! I am really looking forward to meeting you and getting to know you all in September. We are going to have an amazing year together. I am particularly looking forward to teaching you all the different topics we will be covering and looking forward to taking you on some trips. I know that ‘Team Year 3P’ is going to be FABULOUS!

At home I live with my husband and two daughters, Bethany who is 14 years old and Emily, who is 11 years old. We have two rabbits – Bobo and Jojo. In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit, playing rounders and spending time with my friends and family. I love going on holidays and really enjoy taking my daughters camping.

All About Mr Whyment!

Hello Year 3,You all know me - I'm Mr Whyment. I have been at Tonge Moor for two years. I have two children Joe and Harry. I enjoy watching sports, especially wrestling and football. I also write poems and love listening to music.I am looking forward to our Year 3 adventure and working towards our dreams.

I have missed you all dearly in these unusual times and cannot wait to see you all.

All About Miss Regan!Hi Everyone! I am so excited to be moving up into Year 3, I will be able to see you all every day! I have been in school and working with my boys at home too! I’ve lots more fun stories to share and new games to play! I must be the luckiest TA in the school to get to spend so much time with you all again! Our new classroom is amazing, as are Mrs Parry and Mr Whyment! I cannot wait to see you all in September, but until then keep those lovely smiles on all of your faces. See you soon! Miss Regan

Our ClassroomYear 3P will be in a classroom off the main hall. We will use the double white doors opposite the Reception outdoor area to enter the classroom. We are in the classroom on the right hand side.

Our Year 3Learning -English

In Year 3P we will be reading lots of amazing books like ‘The Snow Queen’ by Hans Christian Anderson, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ by Roald Dahl and ‘Escape from Pompeii’ by Christina Balit.

Our Year 3Learning -History

In History we will be learning about the Stone Age, The Egyptians and the Romans.

Our Year 3 Learning -Science

In Science we will be learning about forces and magnets, the skeleton, light, plants and rocks.

Summer ChallengeOur first book we will be reading is ‘Snow Queen’ by Hans Christian Anderson. Over the summer holidays I would like you to find out some facts about the author. Also, find out about the other books he has written and draw the front covers with a title and a picture. Bring them on the first day back in September and we will put them in our reading area in the classroom.In your fact file, you could find out about:
