Lock Out, Tag Out, Try Out before working on a machine. Use the offered material on-site!
Everybody has got to behave exemplary according to safety. I don‘t put my self or others into danger. I report unsafe situations.
We want all our employees, contractors and visitors to return home safely and unharmed. It’s our belief that all accidents can be prevented.
Our set of Life-Saving Rules (LSRs) reinforces what every employee, contractor and visitor must know and do to prevent serious injuries or fatalities. The compliance to the rules is obligatory for everyone!

Obtain formal authorization from the owner before startingthe work and use the LMRA (Last Minute Risk Assessment) beforestarting to work.
Use fall protection when working at heights. Care for a safehold when using a ladder.
Everyone will show exemplary behavior on the road: drive responsibly!
For every confined space entry an instructed “stand by person” is mandatory. And work permit is required. Identify and highlight confined spaces that require a permit to enter.

External mobile phones are not allowed in production areas & warehouse.
The handrail needs to be used in every staircase.

Hazardous materials for example easily flammable or
oxidizing substances and lubricants, that are brought along for your work task must be reported to your contact
person before starting the work.
Required material safety data sheets you carry with you and if required you can hand over
these documents.

Written permission must be obtained for all welding, cutting & high risk
work on the premises.
Work space and equipment have to be released in writing, before and after fulfilling the work, by the responsible employees.
You have to wear the required protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection, etc.) in determined areas and when
you do specific work tasks.
1) Transport of people
Ladders are only to be used to transport people from A to B.
For example: to do inspections of equipment, to check a meter etc.
Always use 3 points of contact using a ladder. No tools or equipment shall be carried by
hand while ascending or descending ladders. Above 1.8 meter additional measures - like
handrail, cage, safety harness - to prevent falling have to be in place.
2) Working on a ladder
If the circumstances dictate that the use of ladder to execute a work activity is inevitable
the Work Permit & LMRA process must followed including:
- A written risk analysis and permission of the plant manager to work on a ladder.
- Above 1.8 meter the person is secured with a lifeline and harness.
3) Additional requirements
1. Permanent caged ladders being used to access structures where no fall exposure exists, may be ascended/descended without wearing a safety harness/lanyard.
2. All ladders shall extend at least 1 m above the upper landing being accessed and shall be properly secured against displacement (at least at the top). Employees ascending ladders that are not yet secured shall have another person holding the ladder at the
bottom until it is adequately secured.
3. Ladders placed for repeated access/egress to elevations with a fall hazard greater than 1.8 meters without handrail or cage shall be equipped with retractable lifelines or rope grab system.
4. Employees ascending or descending these ladders shall secure the retractable lifeline to their safety harness prior to ladder use.
5. All ladders must have clearly visible inspection labels in line with applicable legislation.
6. Ladder definition: portable straight ladders that can be moved and
ladders connected and fixated to platforms, silos, vessels, etc.

Electrical devices should generally not be operated without supervision and display a visible
inspection label.

Persons with infections, a positive tested faecal specimen or persons showing symptoms
and persons with infected wounds or skin disease, which could influence food safety, are not permitted to enter the premises.
(gastroenteritis/ stomach and intestinal illnesses, salmonellosis, typhus, cholera, shigellosis, hepatitis A - E, EHEC)

Coughing, sneezing andspitting on packaging, raw
materials and productsis prohibited.
At all contamination e.g. after maintenance and using toilets or when switching between different work spaces you have to wash and disinfect your hands again at a hygiene station.

In production and storage area it is only allowed to use the blue plasters for wound treatment.
You find the blue plasters near medical kit
in the production.

Cleaning equipment must be used according to the markings and colours. They must be stored at the designated locations.
All foreign bodies, residues and
contaminants must be disposed immediately.

Further requirements concerning to hygiene and
protective clothes depend on your working task and the
entered area.
The basic hygiene and protective clothes in production areas for
visitors/suppliers/contractors consist of a hairnet, a hygiene coat and safety shoes.
With the hairnet you have to cover all hairs. Beard
snoods you only use on demand.
Please ask your contact person for details.

You have to leave your workstation in a clean and
tidy way.
You have to throw yourgarbage in the availablegarbage bins.

Do not touch machine, product and packaging.
Wearing jewellery, watches or other accessories is not allowed. Taking coins, tobacco goods or further personal items in production or storage areas is not desirable.
Please approach your contact person if you lost or damaged your glasses or contact lenses.
Excessive usage of after shave, eau de toilette, perfume and make up is unwanted.

Nail polish, artificial nails, artificial eye lashes etc. are not allowed in production and storage
areas.

Wooden tools are prohibited in determined
hygiene areas.

Before repairs take place make sure that all sources of danger at the machine are locked, blocked and distinct labelled.
Ensure that no electrical energy, liquid, pressurised gas or something similiar can release.
