SUNDAY SCHOOL Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old, he will not depart
from it. Proverbs 22:6 Please bring your child/children to
church, then allow them to gather at the
back of the sanctuary during "passing of
peace", meet their teacher, and go
downstairs for their Bible story lesson,
music and crafts. A light snack will be provided for them to take
home. On Communion Sunday, all youth will be returned to you
(parents) by the end of the sermon.
OLDER ADULT HEALTHY STRETCH & FIT
PROGRAM
EVERY WEDNESDAY
10am –11am. Classes will be held
on Wednesday’s to help keep you active,
improve flexibility and more. Please invite
family and friends to attend. Cost: $3.00 per class.

. Join us for a healthy stretch and
information series. We will be joined by
various organizations each week
(Diabetes, Heart and Stroke Associations

Thank you to Ms. Eva D. Harris for her donation of computer, monitor, and printers to our church for use in the
Church’s Library and Computer Center. One goal for the Library
and Computer Center is to continue improving its ability to provide
individuals of all ages in the church and community, with an
opportunity to learn how to use a computer or to improve their
computer skills for personal, educational, and/or work-related
purposes.
The computer, monitor, and printer will go a long way towards
helping our Computer Center Ministry program improve its ability
to achieve this goal.

2ND ANNUAL YOUTH SUMMER JOB &
ACTIVITY FAIR
State Representatives Cherelle L. Parker and Dwight
Evans, Foundations Inc. and the Job Resource and
Development Center will sponsor the 2nd annual Youth
Summer Job and Activity Fair on Saturday April 25th.
The fair will feature information about summer
employment for youth ages 14-21, summer activities for
youth ages 5-21, academic and educational resources as
well as workshops on student financial aid, interviewing
skills and resume writing. Workshops will be held from
9-11am and the Expo will take place from 11am-2pm at
Community College of Philadelphia, 1300 Godfrey
Avenue, Philadelphia. You must pre-register to attend

Mrs. Jean Rhoades leads us into a joyful praise through music with

of the church secretary office. Youth Sunday is the

Sunday of each month. Camphor children of all
ages are open to participate as readers, singers,
musicians, acolytes, and greeters.

CAMPHOR-KOREAN-MULTICULTURAL
FELLOWSHIP
As we prepare to welcome our Korean and many other
friends from diverse cultures on Sunday, April 26, 2009,
we are asking that Camphor members provide a
special, generous offering today and next Sunday that
will enable us to provide a sumptuous fellowship dinner
for over 250 persons.
In addition, we are asking everyone to donate at least
two items for the dessert tables and two large bottles
of diet and regular sodas. Our friends particularly
enjoy our sweet potato and other pies, cakes, cookies,
brownies and puddings. The annual scholarship of $500
is provided from your contributions to the general church
budget.
Please let Jeanne Myers and Debbie Terrell know what
you will be donating. We look forward to seeing you on
April 26th and thank you for everything that you do for
this wonderful ministry!
