A special shout out to Lewis who was named ‘Player of the Day’. A big thank you also to Mrs McCullough for travelling with the team. Our show entries were very successful. Congratulations to all children who received places in their respective sections. This week we are celebrating the contributions of our School Administration and Support Staff (SASS). We would like to thank Di, Kim, and Mark for their commitment to our school. The work you do for our students and staff is much appreciated. Today each class helped to plant a rose bush. Thank you Armstrong Toyota, who donated funds to help improve our environment. Nell will also purchase seeds and seedlings for our gardening program. Good Luck to Jasmine & Jake Burns, Elvis Cowan and Joe Quade who are competing in the Western Athletics Carnival this Friday in Dubbo. A reminder that our P & C meeting is this Friday at 2 pm in the CAPA room. I am looking forward to seeing you there. Congratulations to Mary Quade who is our Citizen of the Week. She has been a responsible, respectful citizen both in the classroom and playground. Well done, Mary! Have a great week! More details to come

Thank you to our fabulous P&C for all the hours and days and weeks and months that were put into creating this fabulous event. Everything looked beautiful, tasted beautiful and sounded like so many women enjoying themselves, because of your vision and hard work.

TRENT BARRETT SHIELD Last week, Di took Jackson Protheroe, Lewis Oxenbridge, Dan Quade and Joe Thompson to Temora to participate in the Trent Barrett Shield competition. As 4 players does not make a rugby league team, we needed some more team mates. Jake from Temora West Public School was in need of a team, so he played each game with us. The rest of the team was made up of volunteers from a St Anne’s Central School team. For a team that had never played together, they did a fabulous job. All the boys put in a great effort, and improved their skills as the day went on. Unfortunately, they didn’t win any of their games, but they certainly put their all in and should be very proud of their efforts. Lewis was chosen as our Player of the Day for his consistent effort and determination. More photos can be found on our Facebook page.

National Tree Day (It’s just a bit late and we planted roses instead of trees)

National Tree Day started in 1996 and has grown into Australia's largest community tree-planting and nature care event. It’s a call to action for all Australians to get their hands dirty

and give back to the community. Armstrong Toyota donated a $200 voucher to The Old Gum Tree Garden Centre, gloves (which will be very handy for our school gardening program) and shirts (which the kids will be bringing home today). We chose to plant 2 Peace Roses in our

Remembrance Garden, to add to the plants dedicated there over the years. We also planted one burgundy standard rose, near the sign at the entrance of our school, purely for the sake

    of beautifying our school.
