The annual Dementia Prayer Week initiative of the Pastoral

Care Project runs from 12 - 19 March 2020.

It will be launched by Bishop David McGough, Auxiliary Bishop

of the Archdiocese of Birmingham, offering his private Mass:

“Let this Prayer Week become your link to the many families

struggling with dementia…Prayer is a very powerful way of

connecting with all concerned.

Let us pray for, and with, those whose lives have been touched

by dementia. In this way we become one with them, and with

the Lord.”

Each of you are identified by name which your parents gave you – when you were

baptised - you became Gods child as well. Have you ever thought about that…

What are your thoughts – how does that make you feel?

older people are a blessing for us all

Several Schools focused on Dementia in their School Mass during Dementia Prayer Week 12 19 March

The hymns and prayers were very moving reminding us all that God will always remember and that he has sent his Holy Spirit into our hearts to remind us, to be our comforter and help us to pray. Primary school
