I am so excited you have booked
a session! My goal as a
photographer is not only to give
you great photos of your loved
ones, but to provide you with an
amazing experience from start to
finish. Part of that experience is
creating a session that is unique
to you and your family- one that
really captures who you are. For
you that might mean playing
around on the beach as a family
or snuggling with your little ones
on a blanket in the warm
sunshine. Whatever it is that
speaks to you as a family, it is
my goal as a natural light
photographer to capture the
beauty in your everyday life as a
family, and help you remember
the joy in the little things like a
toothless grin or tiny baby
fingers; simple things that we
often get too busy to remember.
I am so excited to work with you
to craft the perfect session
tailored just to your needs!
WHAT TO WEAR1. DON’T BE
COMPLETELY “MATCHY,
MATCHY”
Avoid being too mono-
cromatic. While this may
provide simple and easy outfit
planning, incorporating some
good pops of color into your
clothing is going to enhance
your photos. Choose two to
three colors that complement
each other and build your
outfit choices around those.
When choosing colors consider
where your portraits will be
displayed and choose colors
that will coordinate with your
colors and decorating scheme.
Most importantly have fun with
what you wear!

WHAT TO WEAR2. Think about texture!
Incorporate various
textures into your
clothing choices.
Also, layers of
clothing look great in
photos and help to
add texture. Think
sweaters, jackets,
scarves, etc. Also,
take off a layer part
way through the
session and you
have an instant and
easy wardrobe
change!
3. Add in a “wild card.”
Have someone wear
an unexpected pop
of color or a fun print
to help add
dimension to your
photo.
4. And my biggest
piece of advice:
make sure you feel
good in what you
wear! Choose
clothing that
accentuates your
best features and
that you feel
confident and
beautiful in. You will
be more at ease in
front of the camera.
