IMPORTANT INFORMATION PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

What you wear is key for a successful session. Clothing complements who you are as a family, speaks to the environment in which the session is taking place, and coordinates with the home where final images will be displayed. Your style should be as unique as your family, so we’ve put

together some clothing advice for a creative, comfortable session.

� Outdoor sessions are strictly scheduled an hour before sunset, as this is called the “sweet light” of the day and will make for the best lighting for your portrait.

� No cameras are allowed at portrait or order sessions, and phones must be on silent and away.

� Our digital files are simply raw images on their way to becoming your art piece, for this reason, we do not offer any digital files.

� The quality of our work is extremely important to us, therefore we take extra care enhancing your portraits to make sure everyone looks their absolute best.

Incliment WeatherWe monitor the weather throughout the day your session is scheduled. We want to make sure your Beach Portrait has the best weather Mother Nature can provide. Should the weather be unsuitable for your portrait, you will be advised and we will gladly reschedule your session for the next convenient date. If this is the only date your family can get together, you have the option to have your family photographed in our studio.

� Dark Colors: Dark Blue Jeans, Navy Blue, Black, Browns, Dark Greens, Burgundy, and Greys are a good place to start.

� Make White your accent color to match back to your darker tones.

When planning which color to wear, take a moment to envision where your portrait will be displayed inside your home. Try your best to coordinate colors based on your home decor. If you are unsure, please email the studio a photo of your room and we will gladly discuss all possibilities that would work best.

Be sure to plan your outfits completely a few days before your session. Here are some general rules for making your portrait become a true masterpiece in your home:

� Keep the day’s activities light, as we want the children looking and feeling their best.

� For the youngest children, an afternoon nap is ideal, as all portraits are photographed in the evening.

� Make sure they’re not too hungry as it is around dinner time but please try to stay away from sugary snacks and drinks before the portarit.

� Don’t worry about your child smiling for the portrait. Making them smile naturally is our job.

� Clothes that flatter your body type, make you feel comfortable and coordinate well with the rest of the group

� Knee length or longer for dresses/skirts as you may be seated during your portrait

� Solid colors photograph best

� Men: a clean shaven look & to have hair cut a week, or so, before the session

� Ladies: have hair styled before the session, keep makeup, manicures and pedicures natural

� Sleeveless tops works best for teens and kids
