Here we go! this second issue (volume I, II and III) is dedicated to East Europe (For East Europe we indicate the ex URSS and ex Yugoslavian and Balcanic, that maybe represent some cultural likeness).The idea for this series was born looking at the myriad of wonderful images in Wephoto Group pages. Authors from all over the world, each with their own culture, traditions, a world view that, although globalization, has different colors regarding different areas So part of this series has the goal to explore every world’s Macro region, and offer a proof, a featuring, trying to figure out if and how traditions and culture can give a “Different Vision”.

This is our second eBook from that series. The first, dedicated Asian Authors is available for download via Apple iBooks Store, Amazon Kindle Store and Lulu.com, as separately reported. I would like to thank all the authors for their cooperation, patience and enthusiasm. Almost daily we did talk about the achievement of this book, how to select photos and so on, different countries, different cultures, different languages, and yet we found ourselves in the WePhoto’s chat, talking as old friends in one language, feeling as if we were sitting at a table in a pub to have a drink together. This is the most beautiful side, perhaps, of this work. Demonstrate that we are all the same, it doesn’t matter where we were born, we share the same passions, the same fears, the same hopes.

I studied at Faculty of Fine Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University as well as photography at European Academy of Photography. I am a portrait and fine arts photographer, based in Olsztyn. Photographs are for me a memory of yesterday that is not lost in the abyss of oblivion. The real fun is to collect magical and fleeting moments, to keep them in the poetry of light. Shooting is about creating a new reality. World under the eyelids becomes real... a fascinating journey inside yourself allows you to discover a wide range of sensitivity, expand horizons and continues to follow the footsteps of the imagination, because it is worth to get lost in order to find something, you might want to lose in order to “touch” of happiness.

I was born in Romania, i always lived in Romania and i travel a lot. My inquisitive mind pushes me across borders in search of new places, new cultures, new ways of inner expression through artistic means. I discovered photography only almost two years ago and from that moment it became my every moment passion, the joy and suffering that fills my life. I love people and i enjoy to photograph their stories, i love the beauty of nature and i photograph landscapes, preferring long exposure wich gives me the oportunity to contemplate and “breathe” the view. What inspires me? Shapes, volumes touched by lights and shadows, equilibrium, balance, the dialogue between them, as well as powerful contrasts. I see them everywhere around, in common things, in structures and architecture... making me vibrate with emotion. Each of the scenes around which impresses me deeply, is becoming the pretext of a personal epic speech and i express it... and myself... in a photo.

My first intention was to photograph the scenes from my hikes on near by mountain but slowly I started to photograph all around me on a daily basis. Now I do it for fun and for commercial aspect, photography become more than hobby, it’s my second job and one of my most important sides in life.

I live and work in Poland, Białystok. Photography is an element of my activity as an art therapist. I use it as a tool during the workshops and individual counseling to help people at self-discovery, communication and the process of change. Photographing is also an important means of my own self-expression and a way to describe the surrounding world. My pictures are the effect of stopping on the run, contemplation of a moment and admiration for elusiveness. I’m happy if my photograph tells a story. I think that every image is a type of self-portrait... a kind of mirror.

I was born in 4 Nov 1967 in Switzerland. I’m interested in photography since childhood time. long exposure and black and white photography was not very popular in my country. So I wasn’t able to do it professionally. I still continue shooting as a amateur photographer. I think black and white photography is the best technique that shows you the purity in human and in nature. On a colour photo of a smiling person for example, you only see the smile. But on a black and white photo you see the reality behind that smile. It’s the same with nature, you see the power of nature on a black and white photo. I see a divine light in black and white photography…

When I taking pictures of anonymous people on the streets, I try to capture the moments of their lives, their private, personal story. The history of each of us creates the history of the world, I want to capture it in my photos.
