PURPOSE OF PRESENTATION & PROJECT INTRODUCTION

SR 0837, Section A48 (West Carson Street) Project

The purpose of this presentation is to introduce the project to the public, gather feedback, and present the construction staging

The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate the existing deteriorated roadway surface and extend the usable life of the pavement

PROPOSED PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS

Roadway Rehabilitation from Smithfield Street to the West End Bridge

Concrete Reconstruction from Smithfield Street to Station Square Drive

Milling and Resurfacing from Station Square Drive to the West End Bridge

Curb repairs, drainage improvements, updates to Department signs and pavement markings, Traffic Signals, ADA Curb Ramps and ITS equipment.

Work will occur during both daylight and nighttime hours

All work will be done within existing Legal Right-of-Way.

Construction anticipated to begin 2019

NEPA requires agencies to integrate environmental values into their decision-making processes by considering the environmental impacts of their proposed actions and reasonable alternatives to those actions

NEPA also includes public involvement activities and gathering feedback from the public
