The club has to be a football club thats playing in the highest competition of England and play for their fans. WHU takes their responsibility to society by organizing several projects that have a positive effect on the society.

2. Strategic Planning of the Youth AcademyA strategic plan focus on way in which going to do things. It decides the ways and the means. In this case it structures the Youth Acadamy of West Ham United. A strategic plan consists of a vision, mission and objectives. We have merged the mission and the strategic vision into one story.

2.1 Mission and strategic vision of the Youth Academy The youth has the future, therefore West Ham United gives their youth the chance to play in the first squad. West Ham United has a long tradition for constantly producing homegrown players and developing them into world class performers. The West Ham way has, and continues to be, a blend of big name arrivals with talented teenagers nutured on the Clubs training pitches over many years. Often these youngsters have been at the Club since childhood and, thanks to the hard work of their dedicated coaches, they are given every change to rise through the ranks.West Ham United want that youth players come at a young age to WHU so that they can learn the norms and values from West Ham United. In that case, players understand and carry out what WHU stands for, what will make them loved by the supporters. It happens to many times that players join WHU at the age of 18+. Then the players are father away from the values of WHU, which makes it harder to be loved by the supporters.

2.2 ObjectivesIts important that talented players are developing optimal. The following things are important for West Ham United: The youth players have fun in the game. The youth players learn where West Ham United stands for and what will make them loved by the supporters. Every year there are two players who are flowing from the youth to the first team of West Ham United. The youth of West Ham United are playing in the recognizing football style of West Ham United. The quality of the Academy is very well. Also theres continuity. Players get individual coaching. Its important that players of West Ham United play for the national teams.

3.1 Organisational chartThis is how we see the organizational chart of West Ham United. There is a chairman of the board. He is in contact with another chairman, two directors and two vice-chairman of the board. The highest chairman managed the other functional groups (secretary, sales, etc.) We think that this structure will work for West Ham United. Its a functional organization cause of the chairman and the several functional groups. But the chairman of the board forms with the other chairman, directors and vice-chairmans a staff which the whole process has to control.
