Stress is the unconscious mobilization of an individual’s resources in response to a stimulus.
Physiological Effects
• Adrenaline Levels Increase
• Heart Rate Increases
• Breathing Speeds Up
• Blood Pressure Increases
• Blood Flow is Diverted Away from “Non-Essential” Organs and Increased to “Essential” Ones
• Immune and Other Systems are Shut Down
• Coagulating Agents are Pumped into Bloodstream
