Vertical Spice was established in 2012 to share

our unique, patented, kitchen cabinet storage

innovations with other home cooks. We have

assembled over 40,000 units in our Minnesota

shop and shipped them to all points in the US and

Canada and all points of the world, including Asia,

Europe and Australia/New Zealand.

Our patented design (US Patent Number 9,282,821 B2) was developed after

years of unsuccessful searches for a spice rack that did it all. The “Spice Rack

Drawer” and “Storage Solution Drawer” solved our needs by giving us easy

access to all our spices and flavors in a compact space. We no longer tip over,

spin-off, duplicate or lose containers in our cabinet.

We design, build and sell all our units. Our products are currently only

available directly from us by internet or phone orders. We maintain an

inventory of products and ship by the next business day via FedEx Ground or

the US Postal Service.

The materials in our designs are sourced both locally and internationally. We

have sought out earth friendly materials wherever possible. The Cream units

are made with PolyTuf HDPE, strong, tough and easy to clean. The Maple for

our top end products is sourced and prepared in Northern Minnesota, left

natural with a clear varnish.

Cabinet Face Frame? We build our standard models with a cutout for clearance over the face frame. The cutout is for clearance only, the mounting screws are what hold the unit in place.

Cleaning And Maintenance?

Shelves and Plastic Fronts/Backs: A soft rag and mild soap will clean-up spills or stains. Strong chemicals may cause cracking in the plastic.

Ball Bearing Slides: Add a little Petroleum Jelly to the moving and sliding parts if over time the slide movement is not as smooth.

Containers Too Wide For Drawer?

Our drawers come in widths of 2.10" - 3.25" - 4.40" - 5.55" - 6.70". If what you plan to store is larger than the drawer width, the flexible sides and drawer spacing could still work for you. Space between drawers is 0.2" on units with multiple drawers, or when the units are

installed tight together. During installation you can

space the different units to give you extra drawer width space.

When your larger containers are on a drawer, they can over hang

the side and the elastic side bands will keep them in place

and your spacing will give them the room to move.

Material Differences?

Maple – Solid maple processed in northern Minnesota. We apply a clear varnish to show off the woods character and make for easy cleaning.

Cream – Poly Tuf HDPE. Made from recycled milk cartons. This material is on mega-steroids. Very tough, lightweight, durable and easy to clean.

Where To Mount Units?

Each unit base MUST be attached to the cabinet/pantry

bottom or a permanently fixed shelf with the included screws.

Failure to attach will result in the Drawer and its contents

tipping and falling out when extended.

If mounted to a movable/adjustable shelf, you MUST first

secure that shelf to the cabinet side to make it permanent.

Home improvement stores carry shelf clips that lock a shelf in

place or D.I.Y. with blocks of wood or brackets (not-included).

Units can be attached to wire shelves. There are mounting

holes through the bases that zip-ties can be passed through or screws/bolts can be

attached to a block of wood underneath the shelf. The bases are easily drilled to give

you more access holes. It is very important to make sure the wire shelves will not tip

forward when the weight of the drawers are pulled open.

WHAT TO MEASURE

Vertical Spice Units are drawers sliding in and out. They require no

obstacles in the way (hinge, frame, posts). Think of the space needed as

the largest box you can slide straight in and out of the cabinet.

SHIPPING

We maintain an inventory of Finished Goods and are ready to ship within one day of receiving your order.

Our products are quality made and heavy. The packaging is robust to protect them during their travel. We work together with FedEx Ground to ensure your delivery is timely and safe. The shipping and handling price reflects the actual costs and includes volume cost reductions to you that we have earned at FedEx.

Alaskan and Hawaiian Orders - We ship by USPS Standard Post. The USPS shipping is about half the cost of FedEx to Alaska or Hawaii, but the UPSP delivery time is about 9-12 days.

Canada - We have shipped from BC to Newfoundland and up to the Northwest Territories. We normally use FedEx Ground or the USPS. Provincial tax and entry fees for Canadian orders are included in the quote. Delivery times to Canada are 3-10 business days depending upon location. We do review the order to ensure the lowest cost shipping method is used, and will apply a discount when able (the prices as quoted are normally close to, or less than the actual shipping cost)

RETURNS and WARRANTY

Return Process - If, for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with your selection, please return it within 30 days.

- The returns must be unaltered and undamaged by use and contain all original packaging.

- Returns must be in the original retail box, placed into a shipping box.

- There is a $20 re-stocking fee per unit if returned damaged or incomplete.

- We will refund the purchase price or exchange it, whichever you prefer.

Warranty - Vertical Spice ("Seller") warrants to the original purchaser, that all Vertical Spice Drawer Units will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase.

WIDTH (NARROWEST SPACE) Measure the narrowest width, between your hinges, of the cabinet. If you only have one door or a center frame, measure from the hinge to the frame. Our units have drawers that will extend out of your cabinet. You will use the width dimension to determine which and how many units will fit side-by-side in your space.

DEPTH Measure from the back of the cabinet to inside the closed door. Back of the cabinet. Some cabinets have a block of wood or there may be electrical wiring, this will affect fit. Closed Door. Doors vary greatly, some will sit away from the frame and some doors will have inserts extending back into the cabinet. Cabinet frame or "Front Lip" - Our units have a cut-

out and are designed to fit over the frame. Our x11 (11.25" deep) units need a minimum of 11.25" of space and our x10 (10.125" deep) units require 10.125" of space.

HEIGHT Measure height from the cabinet base or shelf to the shelf above. Units can be placed on shelves. The shelves must be fixed in place to keep the shelf and contents from tipping when a drawer is pulled out.

INSTALLATION (very simple and easy)

- One Phillips screwdriver

- All units arrive fully assembled with side bands and mounting screws.

- Units mount directly through the base into the shelf and can be positioned to fit your custom needs.

- The screws are self-tapping and will screw into almost all materials, except for stone, tile or metal. The screws extend through the base .375" (3/8"). The mounting screw should not protrude through the shelf.

LOAD YOUR CONTAINERS – FLEXIBLE SIDES

- The flexible bands are what make the Vertical Spice Drawer Units unique and provide the great and easy access to spices.

- The bands are 2 mm in diameter with black polyester over a rubber core, crimped into a loop. Very similar to bungee cords or elastic hair bands (pony tail bands).
