Mission Central's Annual Gala: April 6th, 2019 at 5:30 pm Tickets are available now at missioncentral.org. Mission Central is also looking for donations for our silent and live auctions. If you have any items you'd like to donate, please email Adam Hoover, [email protected] or call 717-766-1533.
God’s Helping Hands (GHH) Home Repair Ministry God’s Helping Hands Home Repair Ministry has the 2nd work weekend of 2019 on April 12 & 13 (Friday & Saturday). We will meet at 7:30 am, both days, at the GHH’s Marysville site for coordination of teams and fellowship. GHH is working with several homeowners so that we can assist them in the repairs of their homes. However, in order to do His will, GHH relies upon others for their time, energy, and skills. Bethesda Mobile Mission - March 15, 2019 As part of the Bethesda Mission, the Mobile Mission is an outreach program that goes into the heart of Harrisburg from 9:00 pm – 12:00 am to meet the needs of the homeless by bringing food, clothing and necessities and share the love of Christ. The next Mobile Mission is Friday, March 15. Participants meet at the church parking lot at 8:15 pm to carpool. If you have any questions or would like to sign up, please contact Shari Swope at (717) 766-7711.
Join the Communion Team! All who are part of the worship life of AUMC are invited to join the team that serves communion. Perfection is not a requirement! All that is needed is a love for God, and an understanding that we are all in need of His grace. Communion is offered monthly. We especially need servers at the 11:00 service. If you wish to be a part of this team, contact Carol Wesley at (717) 877-3044.
There is a Solution Group (AA) Aldersgate Church hosts Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) meetings Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm in room 206/208. AA is a fellowship of men and women who share with each other so they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. If you would like additional information, call Carol Diffenbaugh, Director of Health & Nurture Ministries at, 717-737-7923 ext. 104 or email her at [email protected].
Stop the Bleed Saturday April 13th Aldersgate Church will provide a FREE Stop the Bleed Training Event. This training is provided by Geisinger/Holy Spirit Hospital and is to help lay people know when and how to stop critical bleeding after a traumatic occurrence. Please consider joining us from 9 am to 10 am in the Family Life Center as we learn how to help individuals suffering from critical blood loss. The class size is limited so please register early to save your spot. You need not have any medical background to take this training. If you have any questions or wish to register, contact Carol Diffenbaugh at [email protected] or call 717-737-7923 ext. 104.
New to Aldersgate. . . Please fill out a CONNECTion Card and return it via the offering plate or at our Welcome Center. Stop at our Welcome Center for a gift and some information on Aldersgate Church. Join us for a time of refreshment and fellowship in our Family Life Center following the 8 am and 9:30 am services. We are glad you are with us today to worship!

Toileting Troubles in Children - March 11th, 7 pm If you have a child who has belly aches, constipation, potty training issues, bed wetting, or frequent urination, etc, or if you, as an adult, struggle with any of these issues, including bladder leakage, this is for you. New Girlfriends In God Study On March 19, Girlfriends in God will be starting Abraham: Developing Unwavering Faith, an 8 week study. As you read about Abraham's life, you will learn more about God and yourself. We meet Tuesdays 9:15-11:15 am in room 207. Dogs for God This ministry consists of a group of caring individuals called to spread the joy, happiness and the name of Christ using the assistance of their bonded relationships with their dogs to reach the elderly, homebound, hospitalized, etc. For more information contact Pam Caserta at [email protected]. New Hope Work Night - March 12, 7-9 pm A work night at New Hope is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, from 7 to 9 pm. We will be sorting and packing food. This is a great outreach opportunity and a great activity for families. Email Pam Caserta at [email protected] if you can attend.
New Hope Ministries Annual Geranium Sale The opportunity is here for you to enjoy some beautiful flowers while helping to raise money for New Hope Ministries, a Christian social service agency. These flowers are gorgeous every year and last all summer! Please contact Nancy Wible at [email protected] with any questions. We will also be at this week's What's Up Wednesday to answer questions. Blood Drive at Aldersgate Church Sunday, March 24th
Did you know that as a part of the Aldersgate family you and your family may receive low cost or free blood products as members of the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank? This is a wonderful gift for individuals who find themselves in need of these products during times of illness. In order for us to continue offering this, we need to provide a level of blood donations during the Central Pennsylvania Blood Drive. Please consider donating blood during our next blood drive on Sunday March 24th from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. If you attend the last service, come EARLY at 9:30 - 10 am to donate blood!
“Requirements are: over 16 years of age, weighing at least 110 pounds and in good health. (There is a 56 day waiting period between donations). Make certain Sunday morning you eat a good breakfast and hydrate yourself with caffeine-free drinks prior to donating blood.” Information taken from Central PA Blood Bank website.

Aldersgate is a "Safe Sanctuary Church" “Safe Sanctuary” means that all ministry staff and volunteers working with children or youth under age 18 (and vulnerable adults) have obtained the appropriate Pennsylvania and FBI criminal and child-welfare clearances, and have received direction for compliance with Safe Sanctuary Policy of The United Methodist Church. Your children - God's children - are important to us! Any questions regarding Safe Sanctuary and how to obtain the clearances, etc. can be directed to Melanie Feldner, Director of Children’s Ministries, who oversees Safe Sanctuary here at Aldersgate.

We ask for your prayerful attention to our giving deficit. We work within a conservative budget in the ministry that we do here at AUMC and in our mission field. We are reaching out with new ministry opportunities that will impact lives for Jesus, but we need each and every financial partnership to make that happen. Let’s make Lent a time where we commit to our faithfulness in our weekly attendance in worship and our faith- filled giving back of God’s blessing to us.
