Dogs for God This ministry consists of a group of caring individuals called to spread the joy, happiness and the name of Christ using the assistance of their bonded relationships with their dogs to reach the elderly, homebound, hospitalized, etc. The next dates for those serving in this ministry are: Monday, August 20 at 7:00 pm - The Childrens Home Tuesday, August 21 at 6:30 pm - The Jewish Home Tuesday, August 28 at 6:30 pm - Sarah Todd Home For more information or if you would like to become involved, contact Pam Caserta at [email protected]. Run for Gods 5K Challenge is a 12-week Bible study and training plan that allows interested runners to combine faith and endurance training in a way that helps take people, even those who have never run, through their first 5K. Well be meeting Saturday mornings from 8 am – 9:30 am beginning September 8th through November 17th. Each class will start with a devotion and prayer time, followed by runner education and a group walk/run. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Sign up on your welcome card. Pastor Galena will be speaking at our Sunday morning worship service on September 23 rd . A meeting will be held on Monday, August 13 th @ 7 pm in the Family Life Center. Volunteers will be greatly appreciated at this meeting to ensure we can offer our sister church and pastor radical hospitality. Hospitality and Connections Pastor Jan would like to gather folks who are currently working at the hospitality desk and others who might sense that their spiritual gift is hospitality. She would like to learn our process for connecting guests to be engaged in ministry and our process for greeting our guests on Sunday mornings. If this ministry speaks to your heart, would you come to a gathering Tuesday August 14 th at 7 pm in the Resource Room? Dates ahead for your planning Pastor Galena has obtained her VISA and is anticipating visiting our congregation in mid- September. AUMC supports the Krichev church and we are excited to have the opportunity to learn what God has been doing in this area of the world. Watch the bulletin for details to follow. Aldersgate UMC is celebrating 30 years of fruitful ministry to this community. We will be celebrating our heritage in early November. This is an important milestone of Gods kingdom growth in the life of the church. More details to follow!
