    What Will You Reap

Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the

Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

So many times throughout our childhood into our young adult and adult life we have heard the saying

you reap what you sow. But have you ever really sat back and thought about what that really means.

Who here likes to go out to the garden and get some fresh tomatoes, corn on the cob, or cucumbers and

just sit down and enjoy how great they taste??? Well how well do you think your garden would do if you

went out in the spring took a couple hands full of seed closed our eyes and threw them across the

garden? Not to go back another day to tend to the garden to racking, or watering, or anything. What

kind of crop are we going to have how is our garden going to look come time for h? Im

you lust after riches, and when you are bent on increasing your worldly possessions then we are sowing

of the flesh. When we lust after temporary pleasures such as sexual immortality, alcohol, drugs, and

money we are setting ourselves up to reap temporary satisfaction here on earth and nowhere else.

Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication,

uncleanness, lasciviousness, (20) Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,

seditions, heresies, (21) Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you

before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom

you asked! It means your mind should be on God, that you are encouraging to others, you are using

your wealth to build up the church, and that you use your abundance to aid those that are without. It

also means that you are spreading the Gospel, locally and abroad at any available time. When you are

sowing of the Spirit you are uplifting to others, you show love, and you have a genuine care for the soul

    of others.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

    (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Paul could have just stopped at love, Because God is Love. But no he went on to give us great detail of

the characteristics of sowing in the spirit.

God or for yourself? Is your heart one that is lusting and sowing after your own flesh? Or are you loving

and caring for the souls of others. Are you spreading the word of God and helping those less fortunate.

Remember just because you or I may proclaim that we are of the Kingdom of Christ, God truly knows
