LITTER PROBLEM

Parents need to teach their children the devastating effects littering has on our environment. By teaching your child good values, morals and respect for others and the environment around them they will realise the importance of cleaning up after themselves. Remember that you as parents lead by example, so please do not toss cigarette butts or other rubbish out of your car window. By teaching your child the following 4 basic rules you can help us fight the litter problem we have at our school and the surrounding community area: 1. Don’t throw rubbish on the ground. 2. If you aren’t close to a dustbin, hold onto your rubbish until you get to one. 3. Don’t let your friends litter around you. 4. Pick up litter when you see it. If children don’t see litter on the ground, they are less likely to litter
