Curricula, support documents and on-line resources are available for two types of in-school programs:

• Core Ukrainian Language Education K-12• Ukrainian-English Bilingual Education K-

12

With some adaptation, these resources may also be used to support out-of-school programs, such as Sadochok and Ridna Shkola.

Saskatchewan Learning has completed its five-year curriculum writing project with the Chernivtsi Ministry of Education. Four documents, titled Canada-Ukraine Teaching Units, are available in both print and electronic form. They may be viewed at

Summer Language Immersion Program

• Four Ukrainian language camps received funding in Summer 2003.

• Grants for these programs have been provided by Saskatchewan Learning since 1991.

• The Mohyla Summer Immersion Program provides students with the opportunity to receive high school credits for Ukrainian language learning.

Heritage Languages Program

In the 2002-2003 school year, 66 students participated in out-of-school Ukrainian language instruction through the Heritage Languages Program.
