Now that the World Cup and Wimbledon are out of the way, we can move on to the moreimportant matter of keeping the good people of Reading and beyond entertained for the restof the year!

There’s West-End comedy in the form of the Olivier Award Winning Jeeves and Wooster as it makesits debut at The Hexagon, along with the more established Joseph and the TechnicolorDreamcoat, one of the most loved musicals of all time.

The new Classical Music Alive season starts in October and includes such prestigious Orchestrasas The Royal Philharmonic, London Philharmonic and The Russian State Symphony at The Hexagonand Radu Lupu, The Sixteen and Elizabeth Watts at The Concert Hall.

Reading Comedy Festival is back with the biggest comedy names on the circuit. Alan Davies,Doc Brown, Mitch Benn, Tim Key and others will be laughing all the way to The Hexagon, SouthStreet, Concert Hall and other venues though the town.

One more thing…Panto! Cinderella is this year’s family Pantomime at The Hexagon, starring thebeautiful Anna Williamson (CITV, Daybreak), Hairy Biker Dave Myers and Britain’s Got Talent finalistJohn Clegg. Superb fun for all.

There’s much to see and do in Reading this autumn, I hope to welcome you back to one of ourcultural venues very soon.

Saturday 11 October – Sunday 22 March 2015 Allen Seaby: Art and NatureThe first retrospective of this important artist andmuch-loved local man. An illustrator, teacher andnovelist, Allen Seaby (1867–1953) is well known forhis bird paintings. However, with increasing interestin early twentieth century printmaking, his role inintroducing Japanese woodblock techniques tothis country is exciting art historians. He was thelongest serving Professor of Fine Art at ReadingUniversity and fondly remembered by studentssuch as Kathleen Hale. Ageing bookworms mayremember his children’s pony stories or hisillustrations of birds and their eggs in the famousLadybird book British Birds and Their Nests.

Standing events.All standing tickets are unreserved generaladmission; the seating plan and ticket number arefor administration purposes only.Please note thatUnder 14’s will not be permitted into the standingarena. All under 14’s must be accompanied by anadult (18yrs or over) and seated in the balcony. The advertised time for standing events is the doorstime and bears no relation to the performancetime. Exact timings will be confirmed nearer the timeand will be available from the box office or viareadingarts.com. To ensure your safety, security willbe present to search bags on arrival. No food ordrink may be brought into the venue.Professional cameras are not permitted at eventsand will not be allowed into the auditorium.
