When the Volcano Exploded

The volcano explodedSparks burst out of its crater It almost burnt everything around

Almost

Why am I saying it Everything around did burn indeed

Those trees that have always gulped water from the soil of this volcano got burntBurnt down.. with all what it carried of yellow leaves and rotten fruit

But

Its roots survivedTo recognize that its bad fruit is product of

the source of its waterHence it stretched to fetch pure water

In order to freely sip at it

And produce

Green leaves.. that won’t easily fall off Fine fruits.. radiating with health and freshness

Roses.. spreading its scent everywhere Those have been the roots

A Muslim heart

Although he has disobeyed God Almighty

Committed sins, and fell behind his duties

His heart is jealous of its religion, and carries deep affection to it

For this heart has found its comfort in Islam, and thus won’t accept any alternatives

But

There exists of self desires, life seductions and temptationsWith which this world is loadedHence by turning away from good deedsA person finds himself stained with filth of sinThick dust of sin covers the heartSo he runs here and there seeking life glamour

Through all of this

Adversity may meet himAnd dust the heart down

Waking him up from his long sleepTo look for the real pleasure of the heart

The Quraan.. and the guidance of the Prophet – peace be upon him

God Almighty says

In the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest

He who drinks them inAnd accepts no alternativesHis life is faith and happinessHis face is radiantHis destiny is paradise

Why notThis is the guidance of the prophet- peace be upon him The master of all peopleThe best of human beingsWho has been sent as a mercy to mankindHe has the best of manners and moral attributesPreserved from doing wrongBenevolent to his peopleMerciful and kind to them

God Almighty describes him saying

Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He is anxious over you (to be rightly guided, to repent to Allah, and beg Him to pardon and forgive your sins, in order that you may enter Paradise and be saved from the punishment of the Hell-fire), for the believers full of pity, kind, and merciful.

He has been sent with a religion suitable for every time and placea religion that enlightens the heart and preserves it from sorrowThis is Muhammad- peace be upon himand, as the meaning of his name suggests, he has every blessed attribute indeed The honest and trust-worthyThat is how his people described him before he became messengerhonest in his words and actionsPeople trusted him with their possessions, thus he was called trust-worthyHe has been kept clean of viceHe had never drunk spiritual drinksHe had never prostrated to, or celebrated an idolHe was a wise man whose consult had been sought He was a just manAll of this before he became messenger of God

Then when he carried the messageFaith topped up his virtuous qualities with a great religion

That teaches moral valuesHe carried the burden of calling to the religion of God

He tolerated sarcasm and abuseIn words and actions

He did not slow down or retreatBut rather endured and tolerated

God strengthened his heart, and his faith grew deeper

God Almighty saysMuhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of (their) prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurat (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allah has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islamic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward) Al-fath 29

Here is a description of Muhammad – peace be upon him, and of his companions

Mighty and firm against the disbelievers

Merciful and loving among each other

The messenger of God; all of his sins forgivenHis companions; among them those ten promised with paradiseThe Prophet – peace be upon him, has ordered us not to insult his companions, for even if we spend as much as the mountain of Uhod gold, we would not get to reach what they have reached In spite of all that, they prayed till prostration marked their faces

They are a Prophet and his companionsMen who followed the guidance of the messenger of God in all mattersGod honored them with a great victory in their first incursionThey were a minority in number and supplyMany of the greatest disbelievers were killedThat is because of their strong faith and devotion to GodAnd being sincere followers to the messenger of GodThey fought for the cause of God, so He rewarded them with victory

They stood firmly round the messenger of GodNever disobeying his ordersNever disregarding his opinionsThey loved him more thanTheir childrenTheir moneyEven their own selvesAnd they were rightFor he has been a man of great morality

God Almighty saysAnd verily, you (O Muhammad)

are on an exalted standard of character

It was not him who had acquired those attributesbut rather those attributes had been characterized by himHonesty.. tolerance.. mercy.. courage.. fairness.. shyness… it is him – peace be upon him

If we keep on writing and writingWe will fall short of inkThat may mark letters or wordsAbout the chosen prophetPeace be upon him

After all of thisDon’t the roots have right to look for a source for its nutritionto gulp in the greatest of biographiesand be guided with the purest of mankindIn order to produceGreen leaves that have extracted its fresh green out of worshipand those fine fruits collected fresh and ripeFull of advice and defense of justice Full of clear evidenceand sound sermonsFlowers scented with the kindness of smiling facesFill the place with its aroma

That dormant volcanoHas been full of spite and malice to those treesThat have been inattentive to this animosityThey started to drink from the soil of that volcano, assuming it was among the convoy of civilizationand did not suspect one day that it actually carried hatred and hostility within

Until the volcano explodedDischarging drawings announcing that hidden animositySo the trees turned away from the volcano and its soilto a pure spring

That shall strengthen them and renew their will-powerIn order to rise with the nationAnd raise the name of its prophetPeace be upon himTo become dignified, honored and proudStrong and firmUpon holding on tightly to its religion And never letting it down for any reason

We ask God to forgive usto dignify Islam and Muslimsto strengthen themand help them against their enemyand to strengthen the bond of loyalty for the cause of AllahAll the praises and thanks be to Allah
