Parade entrant by and through the signature on the registration form covenants and agrees to release, hold harmless and indemnifies the
WMAT Fair & Rodeo Commission and its volunteers from any and all losses, claims, judgments, damages or any amount owed by reason of
any future claim, demand or action at law or in equity that may at any time be brought or made with regard to any occurrences, injuries,
property damage, or in any way related to the participation in the WMAT Fair & Rodeo Parade. This indemnification clause specifically
includes the payment of attorney’s fees and legal expenses necessarily incurred to defend any and all claims made. Parade application
acknowledges that no parade participant is an agent, representative, employee or contractor of the WMAT Fair & Rodeo Office or its agents
or representatives. Please submit application no later than Friday, August 25, 2017. **No Registration On Day Of The Parade – No Exceptions

PARADE RULES & REGULATIONS
ENTRY FEE: $50 Any Tribal Department / Program
$50 Family Float
$50 Dance Group
$50 Musical Entry
$50 Marching Unit
$50 Royalty
$50 Schools & Youth Programs
$100 Tribal Enterprises / Entities / Outside Organizations
$250 Political and Campaign Entries
GENERAL: The parade is open to all and is subject to the approval of the Parade Committee. Safety
precautions and polity behavior by the participants will be observed at all times. Failure
to comply with these rules will result in expulsion from the parade. Positions will be
assigned and all participants agree to keep to their assigned position with the lineup.
REGISTRATION: All entrants who wish to be included in the Parade event must complete and return the
Entry Form no later than Friday, August 25, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.

JUDGING: Parade entries will be judged during the parade at the 1
st Announcer stand near the
Apache Tire Shop
Each entry wishing to be judged must be pre-registered and in line prior to 8:30 a.m.
All late entries and Politicians will not be eligible for judging
All entries will be judged on Theme, Originality, Creativity, Spirit, and Color of the
parade theme

CHECK-IN AND FORMATION: Parade line-up begins at 6 a.m.
All groups are to report to the registration table at the Whiteriver Assembly of God
Church Parking Lot. All parade entries must enter from the north end of town.
Restrooms will be available.
DISBAND AREA: The parade ends at FATCO Road at the turn off by Whiteriver Burger King
CANDY: Candy may only be handed out along the parade route by members of the group on each
side walking and tossing to the public
No candy may be thrown from floats or vehicles of any kind
OWNERS: Are responsible for their animal’s safety, comfort, water and sanitation. Dogs and other
small pets may be entered, provided they are on a leash and under full control at all
times.
AWARDS CEREMONY: Winners will be announced at the Night Performance and Awards will be available for
pick up at the Exhibit Hall on Sunday.
Awards will be given to the Top 3 in each category except for the Political Entry.
