“Supporting young people in shaping their lives”
Base 25 was founded in 1998 and is a charity that provides services, programmes and projects aimed at improving the lives of young people aged primarily between 11 and 25, particularly those who are marginalised, vulnerable, or at risk. We seek to work with young people in a ‘holistic’ way, meaning that we work with the whole person and do not treat people as a series of issues or problems. Key themes running through our work are confidence building and enabling young people to gain self-esteem. We aim to empower young people by responding directly to their needs, giving them the skills to identify pathways for making positive changes in their lives and giving them the tools to do it. We offer a bespoke service that responds to the changing needs of young people and adapts to changes in their lives and in their immediate environment. Rather than feeling threatened by change we embrace it as a fundamental part of our work with young people.
