Litigation & Dispute ResolutionRoyds has a busy Litigation department undertakingall Court and Dispute Resolution proceedings.We deal with Property Related Litigation,Contract disputes, Insurance claims andIntellectual Property work. The department actsfor various banks as well as many corporateand individual clients. We also have expertise inMediation and Arbitration. We act as Privy Council agents forthe Government of Mauritius and advise international clients inrespect of disputes in the UK and elsewhere.
Insolvency & RestructuringFollowing our merger with Balsara & Co. Solicitors in June 2012,Royds added to the practice a team specialising in Insolvency matters including Receivership, Debt Recovery, Bankruptcy andBank disputes. Balsara & Co. acted successfully for various overseas banks including many of the leading Indian Banks, alsowith a presence in London, in respect of Insolvency and RecoveryWork. This continuing expertise and work has enhanced the profile of Royds in this area.
EmploymentWe advise on all aspects of Employment law including Unfairdismissal, Redundancy, Disability and Sex Discrimination, TUPEand other disputes in the employment tribunal and elsewhere.We provide the significant employment advice needed on manycorporate transactions and company re-organisations arisingfrom the recession. Royds give detailed advise on HR, Healthand Safety, Employee rights, Confidentiality, Protection againstUnfair Competition, legislation, Regulatory changes, EEC lawand Employment. clients and their families. Our Family team advise on Divorce,Separation, including large money disputes, Prenuptial andPost-nuptial agreements. Our Family and Private Client Department have developeda comprehensive strategy, in partnership with you theclient, to meet the difficult financial climate. We also havea highly experienced Charities unit advising charities on allaspects of the law.
Personal Injury & InsuranceWe have a team handling Clinical Negligence and PersonalInjury claims. We have particular expertise in InsuranceLaw and Permanent Health Insurance related disputes,Critical Illness and other insurance claims. Royds are recognised as experts in this field by the ME Associationand various other organisations.
