With the free MassBook Trails app, you can take a selfguided tour along Main Street, discovering along the way the history of homes and other structures lining the road, including buildings on the Wilbraham & Monson Academy campus. “The tour is based on one that [local historian] Carol Albano and I put together for the 250th Anniversary of Wilbraham," Bell said. "It runs in a onemile loop from the library, north down Main Street toward the academy and back." To access the tour, download the MassBook Trails app through the Apple Store or Google Play. Selections include Commonwealth Trails (throughout Massachusetts) and Local Walking Tours. “We're hoping to add more Wilbraham walking tours in the future,” Bell said. “The next one in the queue is walking Main Street in the other direction, toward Minnnechaug.” Hours: Mon.Wed. 98 Thu.Fri. 95 Sat. 92 Closed Holidays Summer 2018 Much of the world slows down during the lazy days of summer, but at the library, we step things up. There's a ukulele workshop for adults, art exhibits in our Brooks Room, book group discussions, a concert of folk songs and a concert of selections from the Great American Songbook. Who says there ain't no cure for the summertime blues? Come rock with us! June, July and August bring a ukulele class for beginners and concerts for the entire family. This project is our major fund­raiser and you all made it happen.Our annual meeting will be held Tuesday, June 12, at 4:30 p.m. in theBrooks Room. All are welcome.Have a grand summer.

Children's ActivitiesWe are getting ready for our very exciting summerreading program, Libraries Rock!, for children ages 2to 10. Children will be asked to read for 20 minutes forat least 21 days. Signups begin Saturday, June 23,online at www.wilbrahamlibrary.org or on paper in theChildren's Department. Children registering online cancome in to pick up a reading log. We will have free icecream bars that Saturday, courtesy of Friendly'sCorp., in celebration of the first day of summerreading. Each child who completes 21 days of readingwill be invited to a private rollerskating party Aug. 9.Finishers will also receive a free paperback book,coupons and special prizes, and their 21 tickets toenter in our prize baskets that will be on display.We will also have the following special programs.Registration is required by stopping in or by calling thefront desk at 413­596­6141. Check our website forregistration dates. All summer programs aresupported by the Wilbraham Friends of the Libraryand the Massachusetts Library System.
