AEROGRAPH DUAL-CHANNEL TEAM Research continues to show the remarkable display of electron capture (EC) peaks from natural products. The above trace was made from a simple Soxhlet extract of s turnip.

Because of low concentration there may be no corresponding flame peaks, i.e., Peak A, dimethyl trisulfide, was attenuated 80-X on EC, yet showed essentially no corresponding flame peak.

Peak Β on electron capture is not in direct alignment with B' on flame. Though the displacement is just a few seconds, it can be stated with complete confidence that the two components are entirely different.
