The Fleet

Green Marine are now an established service provider on some of the largest UK windfarms.

In 2018 Green Marine’s skippers carried out over 2,500 crew transfers.

Based within the hub of marine renewables in Orkney, Green Marine operates internationally, hosting an impressive range of versatile vessels and highly skilled teams who have the expertise and experience to deliver a cross-section of services to the marine energy industry.

Green Marine carries out operational requirements to service offshore wind, wave and tidal projects including transportation, personnel transfers, cable laying, mooring and device installation, maintenance and decommissioning works.

Green Isle Damen Multi-Cat 1 – equipped with twin cranes, towing winches, bow and stern towing pins make it a true workhouse of the sea. Green Storm Damen Twin Axe 26m long CTV 2 – Our new Wind Farm Support Vessel, designed for comfort and stability, purchased to focus on the offshore wind industry where it can provide safe transportation of personnel and cargo to offshore installations.

Green Chief 3 – operates as a tug, anchor handler and safety vessel with towing winches and a heavy lift crane.GM700 Gantry Barge 4 – capable of lifting 700t the barge has a shallow draft, 4-point mooring system and spud legs. 240m2 of additional decking is available providing a large working area for a range of operations including a device testing platform and cable laying capabilities.

Green Quest 5 – The Green Quest is a 18M MCA CAT 2 with a cruise speed of 22 knots allowing for fast transit to and from remote locations.GM1100 Flat Top Barge 6 – for the transportation of heavy equipment, aggregates etc. Comes with a load capacity of 1100 tonnes.

Beatrice Wind FarmLocated approximately 13km from the Caithness coast Beatrice will be Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm and once fully operational. Onshore construction began in Moray in May 2016 and offshore construction began in April 2017.

Green Marine have been involved with the Beatrice project since 2017 carrying out pile delivery operations, jacket movements and delivery.

On-going work sees Green Marine supplying two dedicated crew transfer vessels - Green Quest and Green Storm.

In addition to personnel transfers, Green Marine also provide the following services:

• Barge transport of offshore wind jacket foundations

• Fuel transfer to wind turbine installation barges

• Anchor handling for cable lay barges

• Installation of FLiDAR, Waverider and site demarcation buoys

• A 24/7 point of contact (dpa) for clients / vessels,

• Engineering and fabrication for vessel modifications

• Additional RAMS and procedures for non-routine tasks

Wind Farm Activities “All CTV transfers and works during the GeoSea Maintenance project in the Irish Sea in conjunction with Green Marine was successfully done without any problems or incidents. The safety standard and attitude during the CTV transfers among the Green Quest, project and vessel crew was high and met our expectations also the cooperation and communication with Green Marine office and the Green Quest crew was upmost. We like to thank you and the vessels crew for their efforts and commitment to make this project a success” .
