He was of the Catholic faifii and was a retired employee of Philadelphia General Hospital. Harkless was a veteran of the United States Arftiy, having served in WWII. Harkless is survived by a son. Lindsay Harkless of Weston-Salem; a daughter, Arnita Hannah Harkless of Wijjston-Salem; six grandchildren; one great, grandchild; foifi- devoted cousins. The Saints Home United M£hodist Church, where she served as ehairlady of the Pamonage Committee, a member of the Trustee Board, a mejiber of the nominating committee as well as former ch|Jrperson of the Day Care Center. She also was a mejiber of the Camelia Flower Club, and the Picket Feie Garden Club. She was a retired employee of the R.j£ Reynolds Tobacco Company, Whitaker Park as an inspector. She later was united in mar¬ riage to the late John Henry Lewis and to this union wis born three sons and one daughters She attended the pub¬ lic schools of Flood County.
