Our company has a core commitment to providing FREE benefit reviews to all federal employees and FREE informa-tional workshops for federal agencies, federal unions and associations. This is a community service that our profes-sional benefit and retirement counselors here at GPIS are happy and willing to provide to our federal employees who have served our country and community for the bulk of their careers. The funding streams for our company - while asso-ciated to the topics we discuss throughout the review and or workshop process - are not coupled to the free services we provide. Period.

A BRIEF EXPLANATION: While the federal employee re-tirement system does offer a limited array of options for you upon retirement, it should come as no surprise that the private market has a much more diverse constellation of op-tions for you and your family to choose from; depending on your lifestyle and legacy preferences. Our professional ben-efit and retirement counselors are committed to unpacking, reviewing and discussing the VERY BEST options for each of our clients, through either their current government OR private market options. Client financial wealth and health is our counselor’s first and foremost priority.

Many federal employees max out their coverage when they are young and don't pay attention as it gets increasingly more expensive over the years. When they are most likely

to need it, the costs become prohibitive. This is where our services come in. We are in the business of ensuring client financial security, longevity and legacy.

HOW GPIS IS COMPENSATED: Our service professionals receive absolutely ZERO dollars from you or your funds. Zero. GPIS representatives are compensated only through and from the private companies we represent. Only those companies who have been rigorously vetted for integrity and health are in the selection of options presented to you for consideration. As mentioned before, our primary focus is on providing our services to federal employees; and to ensure our client’s financial health and wellness functions at optimal levels upon retirement. More often than not, the best options for our clients are available through the private market. The choice is yours, we are simply here to serve, discuss and offer our expertise.

We look forward to serving you and your colleagues. Please call us for a review or workshop today!

Insider NEWS 3

1. After 20 to 35 years of government service, so many if not most are burned out and really want to move onto something else.2. However, like millions of baby boomers, many are anxious and even fearful about doing so for several reasons but main-ly two:

a. “Will I have enough money to last if I live a long time in retirement?”b. “No, I really don’t have a plan for retirement for the long haul.

Let’s address the money issue first. While over 50% of retir-ing Americans have insufficient savings and are mostly rely-ing on Social Security and help from family members and oth-er government programs, that should never be the case for federal employees because of what we call the three legged stool of retirement as it applies particularly to FERS retirees. Namely: (1) Pension (2) Social Security and (3) income from TSP accounts.

Many are reluctant to retire because they are only thinking about the fact that pension income is going to be only about 1/3 of current income, having not taken into account the other two legs of the stool. So it’s always amazing to us how many times, when we help employees dig deeper and put all the numbers together, how they see that they may well have more net income in retirement than they are bringing home now. If you haven’t had your FREE benefit review, call our of-fice today 1-866-201-7829. You might find your way out the door sooner than you expect while learning how to turn your money into income you can’t outlive.

Now, let’s assume you are one of those individuals feeling great relief that you might just be in fine shape financially. What’s next? It’s quite natural, after having the nose to the grindstone for so many years, to not really think a whole lot about what you are going to do. It does take some planning and dreaming and it doesn’t have to be completely laid out by the time you retire. Frankly, once you do retire, you’ve got the time and mental relaxation to get creative.

We speak to many retirees after they are out the door and here is a typical representation of the comments we hear: “I no longer have high blood pressure and we are having the times of our lives. I only wish I’d started sooner.” The last thing you want to do is go home and sit in front of the TV drinking beer and smoking cigars. We all know those individuals who did that and were dead within a couple of years after retiring. In order to enjoy that money you worked so long and hard for, stay active and healthy, eat right, pursue hobbies and travel to places you only previously dreamed about.

Perhaps even have a part time job you enjoy to get you out of the house and add a little extra income. After all, isn’t retire-ment all about doing what you want to do, when you want to do it and being able to afford it? HAPPY RETIREMENT!

As the professional retirement counselors at GPIS

recur time and again:

Stressed out with paperwork? Take advantage of this FREE service. One of the most daunting tasks federal employees face as they anticipate retirement is filling out the paperwork required to de-part service. For those who order the hard copy, discover a one inch thick packet that covers everything, including much of which has nothing to do with their personal situation. As many try to digest this pile of not so easy to understand material, they often become anxious and overwhelmed. We at GPIS have witnessed individuals delaying their desired retirement date because of the overwhelming nature of the process. This brings to mind a couple of years ago when I was asked by a postal employee to come to her home and help fill out her paper-work. When I arrived, she was almost hyperventilating because of the stress. She had pages scattered all over her kitchen table as she tried to figure out what to do. Within a few short minutes, I sorted from the pile the less than a dozen pages that she needed and within 45 minute we had her application to retire ready to go. Stress relieved! Is it any wonder there are "professionals" available to help employ-ees do that paper work by charging $400-$500 for their service? Well, that is just so unnecessary if you will allow your local GPIS professional retirement counselor to help you at no charge at all. Free service and education is the basis upon which we at GPIS have built our reputation over the years as the premier federal em-ployee professional and trusted group. Give us a call at 866-201-7829 and let us help you out the door in the most relaxing way possible.
