CuttingCutting InstructionsPlease note: All strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvage to selvage edge unless otherwise noted.

WOF= Width of Fabric • LOF = Length of Fabric

Fabric A (4210P-99 Santa Panel – Black):• Fussy cut (1) 21 ½” x 34 ½” panel.

Fabric B (4219-66 Vine – Green), cut:• (2) 2 ½” x 34 ½” WOF strips.• (2) 2” x 25 ½” WOF strips.• (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 44 ½” strips.• (2) 1 ½” x 34 ½” WOF strips.

Fabric C (4218-88 Snowflakes – Red), cut:• (1) 5 ¼” x WOF strip, sub-cut (1) 5 ¼” square and (4) 4 ½” squares. Cut the 5 ¼” square across both diagonals to make (4) small triangles (only 2 will be used).• (2) 4 ⅞” x WOF strips, sub-cut (16) 4 ⅞” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (32) large triangles.

Fabric D (4219-44 Vine – Cream), cut:• (2) 5 ¼” x WOF strips, sub-cut (9) 5 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (36) triangles (only 34 will be used).

Fabric E (4217-66 Words – Green), cut:• (2) 5 ¼” x WOF strips, sub-cut (9) 5 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (36) triangles.

Fabric F (4213-89 Stripe – Multi), cut:• (2) 4 ½” x 46 ½” LOF strips.• (2) 4 ½” x 34 ½” LOF strips.

Fabric G (4219-88 Vine – Red), cut:• (5) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

Backing (4215-88 Tossed Snowmen – Red), cut:• (2) 50” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together and trim to 50” x 62” to make the back.

SewingSew using a ¼” seam allowance with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise indicated. Always

press towards the darker fabric while assembling, unless otherwise noted by the arrows.

Block Assembly1. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 34 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the 21 ½” x 34 ½” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 2” x 25 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 24 ½” x 36 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

Note: The arrows in Figures 2-9 and Figures 14-15 indicate fabric direction.2. Sew (1) Fabric E triangle, (1) Fabric D triangle and (1) Fabric C large triangle together to make (1) Unit 1 block (Fig. 2). Repeat to make (4) Unit 1 blocks total.

3. Repeat Step 2 and use Figures 3-9 for fabric identification, location, orientation and seam direction to make (4) of each unit, Unit 2 through Unit 8.

5. Sew (1) Unit 7 to the top of (1) Unit 8 with the Fabric E triangles touching to make (1) Unit 10 strip (Fig. 11). Repeat to make (4) Unit 10 strips total.

6. Sew (1) Unit 4 block to the left side of (1) Unit 3 block with the Fabric E triangles touching to make (1) Unit 11 strip (Fig. 12). Repeat to make (3) Unit 11 strips total.

7. Sew (1) Unit 2 block to the left side of (1) Unit 1 block with the Fabric E triangles touching to make (1) Unit 12 strip (Fig. 13). Repeat to make (3) Unit 12 strips total.

Quilt Top Assembly(Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)10. Sew (2) Unit 9 strips together end to end. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew (1) strip to the top and to the bottom of (1) Unit 13 block. Sew the new strip to the left side of the Center Block.

11. Sew (2) Unit 10 strips together end to end. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew (1) strip to the top and to the bottom of (1) Unit 14 block. Sew the new strip to the right side of the Center Block.

12. Sew (3) Unit 11 strips together end to end. Sew (1) Unit 1 block to the left end of the new strip and (1) Unit 2 block to the right end. Sew the resulting strip to the top of the Center Block.

13. Sew (3) Unit 12 strips together end to end. Sew (1) Unit 3 block to the left end of the new strip and (1) Unit 4 block to the right end. Sew the resulting strip to the bottom of the Center Block.

14. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 44 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 34 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

15. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 46 ½” Fabric F strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 4 ½” Fabric C square to each end of (1) 4 ½” x 34 ½” Fabric F strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

Layering, Quilting and Finishing16. Press the quilt top and 50” x 62” backing well. Layer backing (wrong side up), batting, pressed quilt top (right side up) and baste. Quilt as desired and trim excess batting and backing when quilting is complete.

Binding17. Cut the ends of the (5) Fabric G binding strips at a 45-degree angle and sew end to end to make (1) continuous piece of binding. Fold in half lengthwise and press wrong sides together.

18. Sew the binding to the front of the quilt, raw edges together. Turn the folded edge to the back, and hand stitch in place.

8. Sew (1) Fabric C small triangle, (2) Fabric E triangles and (1) Fabric D triangle together to make (1) Unit 13 block (Fig. 14).

9. Sew (1) Fabric D triangle, (2) Fabric E triangles and (1) Fabric C small triangle together to make (1) Unit 14 block (Fig. 15).
