In December 1944, a major German offensive is launched against the Allies in the Ardennes Moun-

tains region on the Western Front.

Because it was the middle of Winter,

temperatures were frigid. Convert the

temperatures below from Celsius to

Fahrenheit using the equation below.

To convert from Celsius to

Fahrenheit:

Multiply by 9,

then divide by 5,

then add 32.

Celsius Math Fahrenheit

-10° (-10° x 9) ÷ 5 + 32 = 14°

0° (0 x 9) ÷ 5 + 32 = 32° 32°

5° (5 x 9) ÷ 5 + 32 = 41° 41°

To convert Meters to Centimeters, multiply by 100. Example:

12.20 Meters x 100 = 1,220 Centimeters

OR move the decimal to the right 2 places.

Meters Centimeters Math

Overall Length 17.60 Meters 1,760 cm 17.60 m x 100 = 1,760 cm

Overall Height 4.42 Meters 442 cm 4.42 m x 100 = 442 cm
