Book Fair Windfall Our Book Fair proved to be a huge success once again through your generous
support. The Book Fair amounted $2,648 in sales which leaves our school with
$844 in commission. Students will work with Katrina Plummer in the coming
weeks to choose new books to go into our library. Thanks to Katrina for doing
such a splendid job coordinating the Book Fair, the extra hours and effort you
put in are greatly appreciated.
End of Term Assembly Our end of term assembly will be hosted on Thursday 29th June at 3:00pm. We have changed this date to enable all of our students to attend as some of the
grades have commitments on Wednesday 28th June that would prevent them
from attending. At our final term assembly we will be presenting the Dolphin
Award and Attendance Certificates. We look forward to seeing a large turnout
to assist us in celebrating and acknowledging the students receiving these
awards.
Parent/Teacher Interviews Thursday 29th June Included with this weeks newsletter are the login details and instructions to
book your end of semester interviews. The online booking platform will be open
today and I encourage all parents/guardians to making a booking to touch
base with your child’s teacher.
The focus of the interview will be related your child’s report which you will
receive on Monday 26th June. The partnership between home and the school is
an imperative one and parent attendance at the interviews provides a great
opportunity to celebrate your child’s achievements, clarify any comments in
your child’s report and it ensures there is a common understanding of how we
can work together during Semester 2 to achieve your child’s social, emotional
and academic goals.
If you experience any technical difficulties when making your booking please
touch base with the office or your child’s teacher and we can assist you with
scheduling a booking time. Further to this, if the date of the 29th doesn’t work
for you please contact your teacher to organise a time and date that works for
both of you.
All interviews will be conducted in the Senior Learning Centre with each of the
5 classroom hosting 3 teachers for interviews. On the night please make your
way into the foyer area of the building and signs will be placed inside the
building to guide you as to which class to visit.
District T-Ball Carnival coming to WPS We will host the Inaugural District T-Ball Carnival this Friday, 16th June from
11:15am to 2:15pm. Bass Valley and Newhaven College will be joining us and
we look forward to hosting them. Well done to Mr Rankin for getting the ball
rolling on this Carnival, the successful boys and girls teams will qualify for the
Gippsland Carnival next term. On other matters it’s great to see Mr Rankin back
and firing after being hit in the eye from a ball last week whilst taking T-Ball
practise.
Kind Regards
Mark Chandler

Wonthaggi Primary School is now a FarmGate! FarmGate Online is a healthy way to Fundraise while also supporting local farmers and producers. By ordering your fruit and veggies online and collecting them from Wonthaggi Primary School, 10% of the value of your order goes to the school as fundraising.
So how does it work:
• Go to www.farmgate.online and click Sign In. You'll be asked to provide some essential information to join up to the site.
• Join the Wonthaggi Primary School FarmGate.
• Browse and select from our range of produce boxes or choose the fruit and veg your family like best.
• Place your order Monday night by 8pm and pay online using PayPal or Bank Deposit.
• We pack your order and deliver it to Wonthaggi Primary School for collection Thursdays at 3:30pm from outside the Art Room.
• 10% of the value of the orders picked up from school is then paid to the school’s fundraising account.
Wherever possible, our produce comes from local farmers. If we can't source a product from the local area, we source as locally as we can. We only purchase Australian produce!
We keep packaging to a minimum and ask our customers to return the delivery boxes for collection from the school so we can reuse and eventually recycle the packaging.
PARENT’S AND FRIEND’S Annual Pie Drive Ordering has now closed. Orders will be delivered on Thursday 29th June ready for school pick up at 3:00pm.
Please note: The order forms that originally went home have an incorrect delivery date, please adjust your copy.
We appreciate all your help, with funds raised going towards making our school a great place for our children.

BREAKFAST CLUB Due to school closure on Friday 30th June the final
breakfast club will be held on Friday 23rd June. We
will resume again on the first Friday of Term 3, July
21st.
The Breakfast Club continues to thrive, run by
volunteers from the local churches and serving a light
breakfast in the Art Room to about 80 children each
Friday morning during the school term. We are most
grateful to Connells Baker for providing all the bread
which makes such delicious toast, and to the
Government for providing the milk and cereal.
