From Fabric A, fussy cut:one 22” x 40-1/2” Center Panel

From Fabric B, cut:

Cutting Instructions

four 2-1/2” x WOF strips. Sew together, end-to-end, then subcut: two 2-1/2” x 22” top/bottom inner borders two 2-1/2” x 44-1/2” side inner bordersone 7-1/2” x WOF strip. Subcut: four 7-1/2” squares four 2-1/2” squares sixteen 1-1/2” squares

From Fabric C, cut:nine 1-1/2” x WOF strips. Sew together, end-to-end, then subcut: four 1-1/2” x 26” for the top/bottom pieced borders four 1-1/2” x 44-1/2” for the side pieced borders sixteen 1-1/2” x 2-1/2” rectanglessix 4-1/2” x WOF strips. Sew together, end-to-end, then subcut: two 4-1/2” x 48-1/2” top/bottom outer borders two 4-1/2” x 74-1/2” side outer borders

From Fabric D, cut:four 2-1/2” x WOF strips. Sew together, end-to-end, then subcut: two 2-1/2” x 26” for the top/bottom pieced borders two 2-1/2” x 44-1/2” for the side pieced borders

From Fabric E, fussy cut:7-1/2” x WOF strips, each showing one row of trees. Sew together, end-to-end, then subcut: two 7-1/2” x 34” for the top/bottom middle borders two 7-1/2” x 52-1/2” for the side middle borders

From the Binding Fabric cut:seven 2-1/2” x WOF strips

Step 1: Sew the Fabric B top/bottom inner borders to the Fabric A quilt center. Press. Sew the Fabric B side inner borders to the Fabric A quilt center. Press.

Assemble the Quilt

Step 2: Gather: four 1-1/2” Fabric B squares four 1-1/2” x 2-1/2” Fabric C rectangles one 2-1/2” Fabric B square

Arrange in three rows of three. Sew together to form rows, pressing toward the darker fabric. Sew the rows together, pressing the seams open. Repeat to make four units like this.

Step 3: Sew a 1-1/2” Fabric C strip to opposite sides of each corresponding Fabric D piece for the pieced border. Press toward the darker fabric. Make two pieced top/bottom borders and two pieced side borders.

Step 4: Sew the pieced side borders to the sides of the quilt center. Press. Sew a completed Step 2 unit to the ends of each top/bottom pieced border. Press. Sew to the top and bottom of the quilt center. Press.

Step 5: Sew the middle side borders to the sides of the quilt center, noting the orientation of the print. Press. Sew a 7-1/2” Fabric B square to the ends of each top/bottom middle border. Press. Sew to the top and bottom of the quilt center, noting the orientation of the print. Press.

Step 6: Sew the Fabric C top/bottom outer borders to the quilt center. Press. Sew the Fabric C side outer borders to the quilt center. Press.

Your quilt top is complete. Baste, quilt, bind and enjoy!
