Chapter one

The Begging

Mali’s family was very rich and her family lived in a great, luxurious house. Her parents ran a big business and it made them very busy. Normally, poor Mali was left at home all by herself. In the house they were two butlers and one lady housekeeper. The two butlers are very idle for doing household duties, you can always see them set down in the living room’s chair sipping a glass of liqueur in the hands. “Hey Daniel what are you doing here?! You too Phillip, you haven't done your work yet!” Said the Lady housekeeper, Jane. With a high-pitched Voice.

“All right Jane… I’m just… trying what the new liqueur tastes like! I mean… Checking if there’s anything wrong with them!” Said Daniel with red face wobbling as he tried to stand up.

As he was talking, Jane passed him and walked to Phillip. She picked up the cloth they had discarded and put it on the table.

“I don’t care what you doing with the liqueur, but I’m sure you can’t work today. Phillip! Take this drunk man to his room and come right back here clean this place up!”

“Yes ms.”

Jane slowly walked to upstairs and softly knocked on the door that have a sign says ‘Mali’.

“Bang, bang, bang”

“Hello? Mali, it’s time for dinner. You have orange juice and a cake for dessert!” Said Jane with a soft voice.

The door slowly opens and come out a girl with golden hair and she smile to Jane and told her to come in.

“Thank you Jane! You know you don’t have to bring it for me. You can just call me and I will go fetch it myself.” Said the girl with golden hair.

“Oh, sweetheart, that’s my job! ” As she was saying this she slowly walked into the room and gently placed the tray on at table.

“Don’t worry Mali, this is my job. And anyway, I love helping you.”

Mali quickly finished her dinner, took the tray to the kitchen, went back to her room and changed to a white dress with a green jacket at the top.

‘It’s will be cold outside.’ Thought Mali.Mali was walking in the garden with no torch

in the hands. She carefully bypassed the flowers and unhurriedly walked to the tree she always sat on.

Mali love the garden in the night. She loved watching the glistening stars up the sky and smelling the fresh night air.

In the day times, she could happily sit near a flower for 2 hours to see how it changes and she might even use color pencils and take hours to draw them out.

But the garden at night was even more quite and peaceful, maybe that’s why Mali loved the garden. But no one knew, or could knows what would happen next. Same with Mali, she didn’t know, tonight, would change her whole life.

She carefully climbed on the tree with a stone under her foot. The stone she had stepped on had a small footprint on the top.

‘Maybe I should wear a trousers next time…’ Mali thought.

Mali cautiously sat on the branch that she though strong enough to bear herself and put her legs in the air. She looked at the trees around her and suddenly she looked back to the place she had just looked at.

“That’s strange.” She thought. It was almost as if she had seem a light flickering for a moment.

She run to the spot and she saw a big old tree that she had never seen before.

“Where has this tree come from? It’s looks like more than 100 years old, but, but the trees we have in the garden are all less than 40 years!” She mumbled aloud to herself.

As she was thinking, she slowly walked beside the tree and she saw a small twig that had a mysterious ancient pattern on it. It had a circle in the middle of the twig. It made Mali touch it. And she did. Suddenly the twig emitted a soft light and in that second, a hole was slowly opened on the tree…

Chapter twoThe Magic World

“Whirr, Flynx! See, see, her eyes are moving! Oh! She’s woken up! Come Flynx!” Mali was woken up with a shouting voice around her.

She slowly open her eyes and saw a girl… Maybe.. A sprite? She saw her transparent wings nimbly flapped, she can hear the sound as every time her wings is flapped, she can smell the rose fragrance around the room, she can feel there were something different in here. But she couldn't tell that feeling, it just liked when you eat something you didn’t even through you could ever have them. If you have to describe that feeling, Mali will say ‘GREAT’.

“Oh! Hi! What’s your name? Oh, how you feel like? Flynx! Come!”

“I’m coming Rosie. Don’t be too loud, you will make her scared!” Said a male sprite when he flew to them.

“Oops! Sorry! I didn’t mean that!”

Mali slowly sat up and look at the two sprite, she didn’t feel scared. Quite the opposite, she feel novel about them and what had been happened with them.

“Oh! Be careful! Don’t hurry! Yes, slowly, ye, slowly stand up… Wait a second… I’m just getting something for you..” Said Rosie.

Mali rubbed her eyes and stretched her arms as she woke from her deep sleep. Her back felt strange. She suddenly remembered – “I have wings now!” She squealed.

Chapter three

My Wings

“Like this?” Mali tried to flap her wings.“No, no, no. Try to flapping them at same

time!” Said Rosie, her transparent wings softly flapping.

“Ok… You mean like this? Wait.. Like this?”“Yes, that’s the way! Good job Mali! You did

good job! Congratulation!” Shouted Rosie.“Oh thanks.”Mali had a day that she could never forget in

her life. At start, she was always fall from the sky. But after a lot practice she could wobbling flew to much higher sky, then… Fall again. Even knew it’s very hard for human buyt because practice makes perfect, now Mali could fly with Rosie together and have a match with Rosie and Flynx with no fall from the sky.

“What a good day!” Said Mali with tried voice.

“Oh. I argent. But it bit late now, I think we should go to bed!”

“Yep, see ya late guys.” Said Mali.“Oh, I can go with you Mali, it’s bit

dangerous that you go back yourself.” Said Flynx.

“Thanks so much. But I think I could go myself. Trust me, and I don’t want you and Rosie sleep too late because of me.” Mali smiled.

“Okay… If you need any help, ignite this.” As she is saying this, she took out a small red rose seeds.

“Ok, I will remember it.”

Chapter four

Mali’s Worry

Mali carefully withdrew her wings, she prudently bypassed the flowers she didn’t know – because anything in here might be alive. You never knew if it was friendly or aggressive, poison or antidote.

‘What would tomorrow be like?’ She murmured to herself.

Her thoughts drifted to home and she found herself homesick.

“Oh, mum and dad,” She wondered aloud “how things going? Did you find out that I’m not at our home, our country, even our world anymore? Or.. Does no one even know that I’m lost?..!” Mali’s Voice from low to high, and suddenly she began to cry.

Mali was very sad, she didn’t know what to do. She felt like a small boat in the ocean with no ways, no choice to go.

The night sky was black, the shining stars were like eyes. Mali tried to calm herself down by washing her face with cold water.

She tell herself don’t to think about it, it will be all fine at end. But she just can’t to not think about it.

Mali decide to go back her room, she casted a incantation called ‘protraction’ then run faster as she could to her room.

After Mali had wings her body had something been changed. She find out that her body was stronger than before and she could run much faster then she could before. That’s the reason why she didn’t hurt herself much when she was practice fly.

It only takes few minutes to run back to her room. In fact, Mali had never run fast as she can now.

She rapidly breathing, the night of magic world was much more peaceful and quite then the earth. Mali can clearly heard her breath, she slowly clam herself down and slowly climbed up the tree house.

The sun slowly rises, unknown birds chirrup cheerful. The sun rays irradiated on Mali’s face. She softly rubbed her eyes, slowly sit up and stretch her waist.

“Knock. Knock. Knock.”“Hello? Have you wake up?” Said female

voice that Mali familiar with as she knock on the door.

Mali blinked her eyes and tardily walked out the bed then slowly opened the door. It was Rosie.

“Good morning Mali! Lets go have our breakfast!” Said Rosie

“Good morning, just wait me for a second…” As she is saying this she closed the door and quickly changed her clothes.

“Ok, hmm, guess what we having for breakfast?” Said Rosie as she sitting in the air.

“Umm.. Fruits?” Mali open the door and come out.

“Wow, you looks very good! I knew it will looks nice on you!” Shouted Rosie.

“Thanks for your praise and clothes. Its very nice.”

“Hehe… How did you knew we have fruit for breakfast?” She asked.

“Easily, because you asked me what I think it will be so I knew it’s fruit and I also knew it’s Flynx make the breakfast, because if it you, you will tell me how nice and good the breakfast is.” Mali said this slowly.

“Oh my Goblin King! How cleaver you are!” She said with her shy voice.

“Lets go have our breakfast, otherwise Flynx will eat all!”

After they finished they breakfast Rosie slowly stand up and blinked her eyes to Flynx.

“Mali?” Said Flynx.

“?” Mali puzzled look to him.“Hmm… If you have any worry or upset,

please tell us!”“Yes, we are your friend! If you want to

you can only tell me!” Said Rosie.“? Why only tell you??” Flynx doubtfully

looked at Rosie. “Girl’s friend ship! Not for boys!” Rosie

laughed.“So, if anything happened, please tell us!”

Said Rosie with a serious voice.

Chapter fiveMali’s option

Mali looked at them, and tell them what happened last night.

“What’s made you came here? I mean, did you touch or do anything before you came here?”

“Umm, I saw a light in my garden so I followed, then I saw a big old tree that not belong to our garden. Up the tree there were a twig with mystery patterns around...”

“Wait, mystery patterns?” Flynx asked.“I think I knew what that now.” Said Rosie“What’s that?” Asked Mali.

Flynx took out a old reel, gently blown off the dust and carefully opend.

It’s reads with elven language, Mali couldn't understand. But Flynx translate for her, it talk about how the twig made a man came to magic world and how to go back.

“…..The blood (If it’s possible, two are best) drops on the wings that the person wanted ways to go back were you from, you need your blood, sprite’s to go back and read out the incantation called ‘return’ in the end of the page…”

“Wow, that’s so easy!” Shouted Rosie.“But.. Rosie.. Have you realize that.. Mali may

never… Never come back?!” Said Flynx, worried.

“Oh! That’s very easy, she can come back every… You mean.. She can’t come back anymore??”

“Yes! It’s says on here, the person will never came back and this incantation can only used if the person is here not more than 3 days! Today is the third day!”

The rest of talking Mali didn’t hear, she was so happy she could go back, but.. Never came back? She knew she should go back home, but, how about Rosie and Flynx? Just strew them here and never see them again?! No! But.. but… Even knew she loved here, she can’t leave her mum and dad! She can’t abandon her parents and her world!

“Mali, don’t go! Stay here! Don’t you love here? Don’t you love this magic world?” Flynx's voice stopped her thinking.

“But Flynx, Mali have her own family at other world! If she stay, she will never see her family anymore!” Rosie speak almost soon Flynx finish his talking.

“But.. But… How about us? If she go back, we will never see her again! Rosie, don’t you want see Mali every day and play with her? If she go back, in this world will only left us! Only us!” Shouted Flynx.

Mali couldn’t understand what Flynx talking about, she don’t get why it only Rosie and Flynx left. She thought, in the magic world, they should be lots of sprite here…

But she didn’t have time to think about this. The thing she really need think about is what should she do now.

‘Can I stay here? But how about my family? Or should I go, but… Is there were other ways for me?’ These questions fly around Mali’s head, it’s made she so dizzy.

“What should I do?” She shouted.There were no any answer. She look

around, Flynx and Rosie go back few minters ago, they did told her but Mali didn’t hear. Rosie told Flynx let Rosie think herself, so that’s why they had leaving.

She walked to the wood window and saw some birds. Some of them are flying around, some of them are chirping and some fly back to they nest.

“Even birds like play around, but they still need go back to the nest. Don’t they?” She looked out the window.

She release her transparent green wings and slowly flapped them and fly to the sky.

“Rosie? Where are you?” She looked around. Suddenly she saw a pink and blue doint at ground.

She flew to the ground and see Rosie and Flynx are setting on the chiar.

“Rosie, Flynx! I knew what to do now!” She ran to them.

Chapter six

Mali’s choose

Mali slowly opened her eyes, by the moon she hardly see there were trees around her. She find out she still have the wings, she tried to flapped them and it’s worked.

“OMG! I still have my wings and I could use them! Do this are the gift they give me?” She shouted, and quickly turned her voice down.

She checked her wings and find out that she can only use them in the night and she can’t flew too high.

The only thing she sad with is she can’t see Rosie and Flynx anymore. But she knew that’s the best way. For some reasons she went to the magic world and because she is not a sprite so the balance of the world is changed.

If she choose to stay there Rosie and Flynx will get much trouble than she go. That’s how the world like, you will never get something for free.

Mali carefully hide her wings and gradually walked to her room. Yes, Mali choose to came back, she knew she can’t and unable to leave her family alone. For gift, Rosie and Flynx gave her a gift that she just knew what's about few minters ago.

Even Flynx wanted she to stay but he still listened to what Mali wanted. However, if Flynx wanted to, he can let Mali stay which he don’t wanted to force her.

While Mali was walking, she saw Daniel passed him, and Mali call him.

“Excuse me Daniel, what was today’s date?” She asked.

“Well you should know this! What are you learning every day?” He answered rudely.

“Excuse me?!” Mali said with a loud voice ”That’s so rude, you know you shouldn’t do that!”

Daniel ignored her, he walked closer to her and said with a complacent voice “Why couldn’t I do that? Who do you think you are? I’m not like Phillip, I’m not scared at you!”

While he saying this, Mali saw Phillip apace run to here, stopped him before Daniel wanted said anything else.

“Daniel! Stopped doing thing like that! What you think you are? You are just a butler and she is your owner’s daughter! I’m so sorry about anything Daniel said, he was drunk…”

Daniel stopped his talking “No I’m not saying sorry! I did nothing wrong and I’m not drunk! She……” Phillip covered his mouth and drag him away.

“I’m so sorry Miss, don’t worry tomorrow you will not seeing him anymore…”

“You don’t have to be sorry for me, it’s not your fault. And you can call me Mali if you want to.” Mali said this slowly, after she finish this she nodded her head to Phillip and walk to inside.

She went to her room and find out it’s not even 1 hour before she go to the garden. If she didn’t have the wing she almost think she had a dream. But she knew it’s all true and it’s all happened, she think is because the Magic World have a different time with the Earth. But who knows? It was just a guess.

She learnt a lot thing from that world, and also because she had the wings, her future life will be a lot interesting than we thing. Maybe, in few years late other child will go into the magic world and find something interesting. But no one, knows.
