WelcomeWe are very glad to have you worshiping our gracious God with us today.
Flowers The sanctuary flowers are given today to the glory of God from
the wedding of Mary Beth Hutchins and Stephen Gombita.
To Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org.
Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder will be standing next to the pastor following the service.
Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church or any other children’s activity. Several kiosks are available in the Welcome Center. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available if you need assistance checking in.
Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in pre-k through fourth grade during the morning services. A leader will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Parents of children in pre-k through second grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11 a.m. worship service.
Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We also provide a Mother/Infant Room located beside Nursery 1 which is equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you.
Additional Seating Additional seating for morning and evening worship services is available each week in St. Andrew’s Hall.
As stewards of God’s resources, we try not to print an excess of bulletins. We invite you to bring this bulletin with you when you return for the evening service.

†The Call to Worship ................................................................................ Isaiah 55:1-6
Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live.
Let us seek the LORD while he may be found and call on him while he is near.
The Lord be with you.And with your spirit.Let us worship God!
I’m a-gonna tell you bought the comin’ of the Judgement,Fair thee well, fair thee well! There’s a better day a-comin’,Fair thee well, fair thee well!
In that great gettin’ up mornin’,Fair thee well, fair thee well!
When you see the lightnin’ a-flashin’,When you hear the thunder crashin’,When you see the stars a-fallin’,When you hear the chariot’s callin’,Fair thee well, fair thee well!
Good news, chariot’s a-comin’,And I don’t wanna be left out! There’s a long white robe in the Heaven, I know!

*†The Psalter Lesson ..................................................................................Psalms 63 and 107
(Pastor)You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
(Congregation)Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
(Pastor)Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away.
(Congregation)Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

Words: William Cowper | Music: Early American Folk Hymn | Arr. Howard Helvey | ©2005 Beckenhorst Press
Sung by Men’s Ensemble
There is a fountain filled with bloodDrawn from Emmanuel’s veins, And sinners plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains.
E’er since by faith I saw the streamThy flowing wounds supply, Redeeming love has been my themeAnd shall be till I die!
The Response—There Is a Fountain ..............................................arr. Howard Helvey
The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ................................................... Ephesians 1:7, 8In Jesus Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
The Corporate Confession of Sin
Merciful Heavenly Father, in humility we come before your righteous throne to confess that we have not feared you and we have strayed from you. You have delivered us from bondage to sin and showered us with blessing, but we have exchanged our glorious God for worthless idols. We have forsaken you, the spring of living water, and have dug our own cisterns, broken cisterns, that cannot hold water. We have refused to serve you and with rebellious hearts have turned our backs to you instead of our faces. We have loved the world and given in to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. The heavens should be appalled at this and shudder with great horror. Our hearts condemn us. Casting ourselves upon your mercy, we desire to return to Christ and to drink from the water of life. We ask you to forgive us and transform us by your grace. Amen.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
