But the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” He said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent tricked me, and I ate.” The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you among all animals and among all wild creatures; upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.” Song of Response How Great is Our God - Chris Tomlin, Ed Cash, Jesse Reeves © 2004 sixsteps Music, Vamos Publishing, worshiptogether.com songs The splendor of the King, clothed in majesty, let all the earth rejoice! Opening Song of Praise Hymn #323 Holy, Holy, Holy Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee; Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty! God in three

persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee, casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea; Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,

Who wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.

Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide Thee, though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see; only Thou are holy – there is none

beside Thee. Perfect in power, in love and purity.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! All Thy works all praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea; Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty!

God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

How great is our God! Sing with me, how great is our God! And all will see how great, how great is our God!

And age to age He stands, and time is in His hands, beginning and the End, beginning and the End. The Godhead three in one:

Father, Spirit, Son. The Lion and the Lamb, the Lion and the Lamb.

How great is our God! Sing with me, how great is our God! And all will see how great, how great is our God!

How great is our God! Sing with me, how great is our God! And all will see how great, how great is our God!

Name above all names, worthy of all praise. My heart will sing, how great is our God! Name above all names, worthy of all praise.

My heart will sing, how great is our God!

How great is our God! Sing with me, how great is our God! And all will see how great, how great is our God!

How great is our God! Sing with me, how great is our God! And all will see how great, how great is our God!

Prayer of Confession & Assurance of Pardon Joel Larson Associate Pastor Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide, and too deep to undo. Forgive what our lips tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear, and what has become for us a consuming fire of judgment. Set us free from a past that we cannot change; open to us a future in which we can be changed; and grant us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image, through Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Amen. Call for Offering Pastor Joel Larson This is the time when we give ourselves, all that we are, all that we have, to God’s service.

Message from God’s Word Pastor Joel Larson Is the Church my Family, Too? Mark 3:20-35 …and the crowd came together again, so that they could not even eat. When his family heard it, they went out to restrain him, for people were saying, “He has gone out of his mind.” And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul, and by the ruler of the demons he casts out demons.” And he called them to him, and spoke to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but his end has come. But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his property without first tying up the strong man; then indeed the house can be plundered. “Truly I tell you, people will be forgiven for their sins and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit can never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— for they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.” Then his mother and his brothers came; and standing outside, they sent to him and called him. A crowd was sitting around him; and they said to him, “Your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, asking for you.” And he replied, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” And looking at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.” Closing Song of Praise Hymn #161 Breathe on Me, Breath of God

Breathe on me, Breath of God, fill me with life anew, that I may love what Thou dost love, and do what Thou wouldst do.

Breathe on me, Breath of God, until my heart is pure, until with Thee I will

one will to do and to endure.

Breathe on me, Breath of God, till I am wholly Thine, until this earthly part of me glows with Thy fire divine.

Breathe on me, Breath of God, so shall I never die, but live with Thee the

perfect life of Thine eternity.
