Raymond UWRT 1103 20 April 2015 WP #9 At first, I thought doing this project was just going to be about looking up a bunch of facts and statistics but I couldn’t be more wrong. For one particular part of the project, we had to find some of our own main sources. My partner chose to interview her roommates and I chose my dad. We decided to go with her accounts but it was still so interesting to sit down and listen to people’s stories. In addition to my father, I also talked to two of my friends who are twins and they ‘re both first generation college students. Surprisingly enough, they are happy. They fit right in and had no trouble adjusting to college life at the beginning of their freshmen year. This was surprising because in my research, I had found that most first generation students struggled academically in the beginning and struggled to balance school, social and sometimes their work lives.
