Narrative Writing

• Typically has story elements: character, setting, and plot
Persuasive Writing
• Aims at convincing people to think or act in a certain way• Steps:–Purpose–Audience–Evidence–Format
Expository Writing
• Aims at informing and explaining• Examples:–Research papers–News articles–How to books/instruction manuals–Essays • Introduction with thesis statement• Body• Conclusion
