DESCRIPTION

Students in Mrs. E. Eubanks’ second grade class and Mrs. Allison’s Kindergarten class wrote stories collaboratively on their iPods. With the help of the art teacher, Karen Hall, they looked at paintings by artists such as Norman Rockwell, Mary Cassatt, Degas, Carmen Lomas Garza, Alma Gunter, Peter Hurd, Georges Seurat, Henri Rousseau, and Doris Lee. After they chose a piece of art that spoke a story to them, the teams used this prompt to create their writing. Students also included an illustration for another part of their story.
