INTRODUCTION

The instructions that follow will show how to replace the hard drive of your Dell Vostro 1500computer. The hard drive is a component of a computer that both stores and retrieves data.

TOOLS:Mako Driver Kit - 64 Precision Bits (1)




Step 1 — Battery

Make certain the power is off.

Step 2

Press and slide the buttons inward.




Step 3

Slide the battery away from thecomputer.

Step 4

Remove the battery from the slot.




Step 5 — Hard Drive

Unscrew the four Phillips head screws on the back of the computer.

Step 6

Press the small black button on theside of the computer. There shouldbe a piece that slightly pops outwhen this is done.




To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Step 7

Pull the piece that protruded outslightly in the last step away fromthe computer to remove the harddrive.
