Find your school.

When your school is found, Click the “Register” button.

Log in using your email address and password.

If you are not taken directly into your account (see next slide), then return to the www.alerts.com home page and sign in.

You can edit your current alerts and change your alerts from “immediate” delivery to “scheduled” delivery.

Please add your name, so that the school can determine who has signed up. They will not be able to tell from your email address alone. This area also allows you to schedule message delivery times and deactivate an account.

Message Delivery Tab

Allows you to add or remove methods of delivery for all your alerts.

To receive Phone Alerts in addition to emails, you must set up each phone number (see next slide).

“Validating” Your Phone Number(s)

Alerts.com requires every phone number entered to be validated so that someone else doesn’t put your phone number in by mistake. This process involves:

1. Entering the phone number for each phone2. Receiving a phone call from Alerts.com on that phone and

listening for the 4-digit authentication code*3. Returning to the website and entering the 4-digit code and

Save Changes.

*The message may tell you that you can just press 1, but write down the 4-digit code in case this does not work correctly.

Text Message Set Up1. Enter your Cell Phone number and the

Carrier2. Click “Save Changes”3. A text message will be sent to your cell

phone.4. Follow instructions in text message (or)

Enter code received in text message and validate

5. To reset click the Resend Verification Link.

Cell Phone Set Up1. Enter your Cell Phone number and

carrier2. Click “Save Changes”3. A call will be placed to your phone4. Press “1” when prompted (or) listen

for code, and enter it here and validate

5. Log out then log back in to verify validation has been authenticated. If not, enter the 4 digit code and click the Validate Code button.

Phone Set Up1. Enter your phone number (no

extensions allowed)2. Click “Save Changes”3. A call will be placed to your

phone4. Press “1” when prompted (or)
