Site licences• The alternative to authority-wide licences for library

authorities is single site licences• These cost £299 (+VAT) per site• Unlike authority-wide licences, site licences do not include

remote access (just access in the library itself)

Access to www.cans.org.uk• Access to the site in the library is by IP address • Access to the site at home is by library card number (the

library authority will have our logo on their site, someone at home clicks on our logo and a screen comes up asking them to select their library authority from a drop down list, then they have to put in their library card number and click “login”…from the library, they just click on the logo and they’re in: no need to sign in at all

• User statistics are captured by us and provided to the client automatically on a monthly basis

Customer services• Customer support is provided by three editors, 9-5, five days a

week• Queries about content as well as access are welcomed by

telephone or email• Please encourage library staff to contact us if they can’t find

what they are looking for• We cannot give advice but we can tell you what the law says

about a particular legal problem
