KINEMATICA – some important terms

• KINEMATICA comes from the term KINEMATIC –

section of mechanic sciences – and is in general

concerned with the description of „bodies“ in motion

i.e. the motion of a particle/droplet on the rotor - >

determination of the circumferencial speed.• Dispersing (lat. dispergere) = distribution• Homogenising = equal distribution of two parts• Emulsifying = Mixing of two liquid phases of which

one is a hydrophob phase.• Suspension = Mixing of two phases of which one

phase is a non soluable solid phase

Quick Coupling System

1. “E” type coupling comprising of PT 1200E, PT 2500E & PT 4000. All these four units have the same coupling and therefore the aggregates for these units are inter-changeable.

2. “F” type of coupling comprising of PT 10-35 GT, PT 3100D, PT 7100 & MT 5100. In future PT 6100D will also be included in this type of coupling. The planning to this direction is going on and as soon as the same is in final stage will be informed you in advance.

3. Old PT K & PT G units will be discontinued soon. Therefore, sales shall not be concentrated on these units in future.

Single Use Aggregate The Polytron PT-DA 07/2 SYN-E082 dispersing aggregate is a

single-use aggregate designed for sample preparation in the lab. It is specially useful when many samples have to be processed daily and the required sterilization process on standard stainless steel aggregates becomes a time limitation issue.
