This is a nice size for the period and it works out to be just over 1-5/8 inches long by just under 1-7/17 inches wide, not including the crown. It is powered by its original and higher-grade 17 jewel, 2552 PC caliber rotor automatic Movado mechanism that has been fully serviced by my trusted watchmaker David to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
The 100% original silver, matte enamel finish dial is in pristine condition – guaranteed to be untouched since it left the factory 42+ years ago. The yellow gold finished domed winding is unmarked and in excellent order, winding and setting smoothly.
Turning the watch over I see that screw-down stainless back lid is in excellent overall shape (one visible scratch from opening/closing) and is signed MBM, Life of Virginia, 3.18.71. Taking a look inside I find a clean and higher grade rotor automatic mechanism that is stamped Movado Factories, Swiss with caliber number 2553PC stamped below the balance wheel. It is fitted on a new 18mm black deBeer Paris hand crafted ostrich (grain) calf leather strap with yellow gold finished buckle, ready to be worn and enjoyed. Folks, this is one of those watches that stands out for its unique design and excellent original condition. I am always on the lookout for vintage ladies evening watches, also known as “cocktail” models – the more original and excellent condition the better. My favorite, however, are the examples made just after WWII, when the American public, having gone through a Great Depression and then a World War, were looking for watches and jewelry that were designed with fun, optimism and a bit of extra “sparkle.”
This is one such example, a vintage ladies Genuine Diamonds & Rubies model from the Helbros Watch Company, dating to the late 1940s and in excellent original condition. Its jewel encrusted case is crafted of 14kt Solid Rose Gold and I can assure you that my photographs do not do it justice as the impression it makes in person is WoW (it really pops!)
Its solid 14k rose gold case measures 36mm lug tip to lug tip and 14.5mm in width (16mm including rose crown). This works out to be just over 1-3/8 inches long by 5/8 of an inch wide. My watchmaker David has fully serviced its original 17 jewel, Swiss made mechanism, ensuring it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
The rose gold, enamel finished wedge-shaped dial is in excellent condition, featuring raised gold Roman numerals, a 60 minute outer track and plum colored steel hands. Signed Helbros below the 12 marker and stamped SWISS at the base of the dial, below the case.
The original curved glass crystal is in excellent condition. The two-piece, fancy elongated lug case is 14 Karat Solid Rose Gold and in excellent PLUS condition – truly spotless. The highlight of the

case are its 6 genuine rubies & 4 genuine diamonds, all securely set and with a nice sparkle. The original rose gold winding crown is in excellent shape as well, winding and setting smoothly.
Turning the watch over I note that the back lid is also in excellent order with no wear or inscriptions. Peeking inside I find a clean Seventeen Jewel, manual wind movement that is stamped Seventeen 17 Jewels, Swiss. The inside of the case lid is signed APEX 14K GOLD, 872,892.
This cleaned, oiled and regulated watch winds and sets smoothly while keeping very good, accurate time. It is fitted with a vintage black cord bracelet (with white gold plated (silver color) fittings and clasp) that is currently sized to fit a wrist up to 7-3/8 inches in size. I can also make this SHORTER or longer for the winner, just tell me the length you need. All in all a truly outstanding watch that really does POP in person, my photos do not do it justice.

Since 1998, Holben's Fine Watches' goal has been happy customers. Keep on ticking!

My longtime favorite U.S. watch firm is the Elgin National Watch Company, a prolific American enterprise established in 1864 on 35 acres of land donated by the City of Elgin, Illinois (the factory had a National Street address). It was a strategic location, right next to the Galena and Chicago Union Railroad, one of the busiest railways into Chicago, and the Elgin factory would become the focal point of the town.
Elgin would offer its first watch for sale in 1867, marking the beginning of fierce competition with its chief competitor, Waltham, which (ironically) was instrumental in forming Elgin, as two of the original organizers were P.S. Bartlett and D.G. Currier of Waltham fame. Bartlett and Currier would later join the Illinois Watch Co. of Springfield.
I am pleased to offer for sale the following vintage timepiece from the firm, a seldom seen men’s Lord Elgin Model 8858 that dates to 1967 and is in excellent, original condition. This flagship model (as Lord Elgin denotes) features a 14kt Solid Yellow Gold, one-piece hermetic case. This is highly unusual for Elgin and more in line with what Hamilton and Gruen were offering during this period.
Quadruple-signed, it measures 36mm lug tip to lug tip and 29mm in width (31mm with Elgin-signed winding crown). This works out to be just over 1-3/8 inches in length by just over 1-1/8 inches in width, not including the Elgin crown, what is best described as a ¾ Size gents watch (or Boy Size), also suited to a woman’s wrist today as sizes have gotten much larger. My skilled watchmaker David has fully serviced its original 17 jewel, manual wind Swiss mechanism, ensuring it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
The 100% original, untouched silver, enamel finished dial is in excellent condition,

Page 8: holben/Descriptions/April 22, 2013.d… · Web viewto a limited number of countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan

guaranteed untouched since it left the factory 45 years ago. It features a 60 minute outer track, applied yellow gold hour markers, original yellow gold Dauphine style hands with luminous fill and a subsidiary seconds dial with sweep gold seconds hand. Signed LORD ELGIN below the 12 marker with the late 1960s company logo and SWISS at the base of the dial.
The original acrylic crystal is in excellent condition with no flaws. The one-piece hermetic style case is 14 Karat Solid Yellow Gold and in excellent condition – absolutely pristine with no flaws. The gold finished winding crown is marked ELGIN and in excellent order, winding and setting smoothly. Elgin rarely marked its crowns, making this a nice detail.
Turning the watch over I see that the back of the case is in excellent shape, stamped 14 KARAT GOLD – WATERPROOF. This was a presentation piece and it is signed “S. Koeller Jr., Dayton Service, Quarter Century Club, June 8, 1967.” As this is a one-piece case I had my watchmaker David take the photos of the mechanism and inside case. The mechanism is a clean, manual wind movement, signed Elgin [Grade] 937, Seventeen 17 Jewels, Swiss, YXY. The inside of the case lid is signed Cased and Timed by Elgin National Watch Co., Star Watch Case Co., 14 Karat Gold, [Model] 8588.
This watch has been fully disassembled, cleaned, oiled and regulated to ensure it winds and sets smoothly and keeps accurate time. It is fitted on a new 16mm black deBeer hand crafted ostrich (grain) calf leather strap with matching gold buckle – ready to be shown off to anyone you can corner for a few seconds, even the family pet. All in all a midcentury “Retro Modern” American designed, Swiss engineered solid 14k gold wristwatch that is as original (and pristine) as they come. A rarer bird to boot!!

Since 1998, Holben's Fine Watches' goal has been happy customers. I treat buyers as I like to be treated: with courtesy and respect. The story of the Eterna Watch Co. of Grenchen, Switzerland reads as a long list of achievements in the world of horology…countless innovations have originated from its factory, and they are especially prized by collectors in Europe and Japan. The quality is remarkable, and one look at their movements tells the story, very high grade.
Founded on November 7, 1856, the first Eterna watch factory began producing pocket watch movements, quickly followed by complete timepieces. Urs Schild took control of the company in 1866, and was noted as the inventor of the pocket alarm watch (which Schild patented in 1908) for use on the wrist.
Through the 1930s and onwards the company had a succession of technical innovations, teamed with its movement-making subsidiary ETA. This included the smallest serially-produced wristwatch, with a baguette movement, in 1930; an eight-day alarm in the early thirties; the first Eterna automatic (self-winding) wristwatch in 1938; a men's model with a swinging winding-weight,

an automatic wristwatch in 1942, considered remarkably small and thin for its time; and the futuristic winding-rotor on ball-bearings launched in 1948 for the Eterna-Matic self-winding wristwatches. Sorry if this introduction is a bit long but I wanted to emphasize that these watches were every bit as good as Omega and Longines models from the same period.
I am pleased to offer for sale the following men’s Eterna model, a sleek ETERNA-MATIC model from the mid 1950s (ca 1953 to 1955) in excellent condition both inside and out. This mid-century modern timepiece is solid stainless steel and features a flush-set crown (elegant) and desirable 1412U caliber mechanism.
Triple-signed, it measures 41.2mm lug tip to lug tip and 34.7mm in width (including the set flush winding crown). In inches this works out to be 1-5/8 inches long by 1-3/8 inches wide. It is powered by its original and higher-grade 17 jewel, rotor automatic movement (Caliber 1412U, Swiss Patented, as marked) that has been fully serviced by my skilled watchmaker David to ensure it winds smoothly and runs accurately. The black enamel finish dial is in excellent condition, professionally restored and beautifully done. It features a 60 second silver outer chapter, raised silver enamel finished hour markers, original silver metal Dauphine-style hands and a ‘sweep’ center seconds hand. Signed ETERNA-MATIC below the 12 with raised FIVE STAR company trademark. It is further signed SWISS at the base of the dial.
The hardened acrylic crystal is in excellent shape with no flaws. The two-piece case is solid stainless steel and in excellent PLUS condition, very sleek and streamlined with an elegantly designed flush-set crown.
Turning the watch over I note that the back lid is stainless steel, screw down in design and in excellent overall shape with no personal engravings or wear, just some light pinprick marks. It carries the case number 3865642. Inside is a beautiful and truly higher-end mechanism signed ETERNA-MATIC WATCH CO., SWISS PAT. – ADJUSTED TWO 2 POSITIONS, SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS – EXA with caliber number 1412U stamped below the balance wheel. Eterna made this movement caliber from 1953 to 1958. The movement serial number is 4,122,130. The inside of the case lid is stamped ETERNA WATCH CO., SWISS, ACIER INOXYDABLE, A.
This watch has been completely disassembled, cleaned, oiled and regulated to ensure it winds and sets smoothly and keeps accurate time. Founded by Ernest Francillon and Auguste Agassiz in the year 1832, the Longines Watch Co. of Switzerland was established in the Long Meadows (translated: Longines) near the town of St. Imier. Winner of countless horology awards, its wristwatches are among the best in the world, on par with the major players of the Swiss watch making profession including its chief rival Omega.
I am very pleased to offer for sale the following vintage Longines timepiece, a ladies all original 14kt Solid White Gold & 16 Diamonds example that dates to 1964 and is in truly flawless, new old stock condition. Ladies and gentlemen, this watch has most likely been tucked away the last 50 years as I see no evidence of it being worn more than maybe once or twice. Again, it is 100% original and this includes its handsome hinged display case, signed Longines on the outside and Longines – The World’s Most Honored Watch – 10 World’s Fair Grand Prizes, 28 Gold Medals. on the inside. It too is excellent like the watch.
Quadruple-signed, its 14k solid white gold, diamond encrusted case measures 37mm lug tip to lug tip and 15mm in width (16.5mm with original Longines-signed crown). This equates to just shy of 1-1/2 inches long by 5/8 of an inch wide, including the Longines winding crown and it is fitted on its original black cord bracelet strap making the total wearable measurement 7-1/4 inches. I can also shorten or lengthen this for the winner at no charge. Its original 17 jewel, manual wind Swiss mechanical mechanism has been fully serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
The 100% original silver, enamel finished dial is in excellent condition, guaranteed untouched since it left the factory and pristine. It features applied solid 18k white gold hour markers and original silver steel Baton-style hands. Signed LONGINES below the 12 and SWISS at the base of the dial.
The original solid glass, faceted edge crystall is in mint condition, adding an extra sparkle to the dial when it catches the light. The two-piece, 14 Karat Solid White Gold case is in flawless condition and has not been touched since it left the factory. There are a total of Sixteen Genuine Diamonds set into the lugs of this watch and they are all of high clarity and securely set. The matching and original white gold winding crown is in perfect shape, signed with the Longines symbol and operating

smoothly.
Turning the watch over I note that the back lid retains its brushed, satin finish that was applied at the factory. It is in mint condition with no wear or engravings, stamped 14K GOLD. Inside I find a clean Seventeen Jewel, manual wind movement that is stamped Longines Watch Co., Swiss – Seventeen 17 Jewels [Grade] 410 with serial number 12,535,830, dating it to ca 1964 as per production records. The inside case lid is stamped Longines Wittnauer Watch Co. Inc., New York, Geneva, Montreal, 14K Gold, L&W, [Model] 808A with case number below.
This watch has been disassembled, cleaned, oiled and regulated to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time. It is fitted with its original black cord bracelet strap that measures 7-1/4 inches in total wearable length. I can also shorten (or lengthen with additional cord) this size for the winner, just let me know your wrist measurement. This watch will ship in its original dark red hinged Longines display case, guaranteed ORIGINAL TO THIS WATCH and in excellent condition. All in all a truly MINT, all original Swiss timepiece that is a true time capsule and great investment as well. To buy a Swiss watch of this quality today would easily cost you $2,000 or more.

Since 1998, Holben's Fine Watches' goal has been happy customers. In my search for nice vintage watches there is always one that is a bit different from the others and has an interesting feature or detail that sets it apart from the others. This is one such timepiece, a men’s ca 1965 Silver Dart model produced by the Tiara S.A. Watch Company, a boutique watch firm with factory in Saignelegier, Switzerland and headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. Best known for its patented “Aqua Guard” line of watches, it name is also its trademark, a regal Tiara seen on both the dial and winding crown.
This triple-signed timepiece is in excellent original condition, a 25 jewel rotor automatic DATE model with all stainless steel case. It measures 44.7mm lug tip to lug tip and 36mm in width (38.5mm with original signed crown). This works out to be just over 1-3/4 inches long by just over 1-3/8 inches wide, not including the Tiara signed winding crown. Its self-winding Tiara-signed rose gold finished mechanism (ETA 2523 caliber based on Enicar’s 257) has been fully serviced prior to auction, ensuring it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
The 100% original silver, finely brushed enamel finished dial is in excellent condition, guaranteed untouched since it left the factory. It features applied silver hour markers, original silver steel and black enamel hands, semi-quickset date window at the 3 position and sweeping original silver steel seconds

hand. Signed TIARA OF SWITZERLAND below the 12 and AUTOMATIC above the 6. It is further signed SWISS MADE at the base of the dial. Note the attractive Tiara trademark above the name.
The original acrylic crystal is in excellent, clear condition. The case is two-piece, all stainless steel example that is in excellent condition, truly superb. The matching and original steel winding features the trademark Tiara logo and is in excellent shape, winding and setting smoothly.
Turning the watch over, I note that the back lid is stainless steel, screw-down in design and in excellent condition, complete with a SILVER DART medallion set into the center of the case (much like an Omega Constellation). It is stamped Aqua Guard, Super Waterproof – Made in Switzerland, Automatic, Pressure Tested Under 10 Atmospheres (330 Feet). Please note that while this watch is original I would not go swimming with it – leave that to a new 200m or better divers watch. Inside is a clean and high quality yellow gold finished rotor automatic mechanism stamped 25 JEWELS, SWISS. Under the balance wheel it is stamped ETA 2523, a very fine, collectible mechanism supplied by Eterna (who badged it the 257 caliber). The inside case lid is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL.”
This watch has been fully serviced (disassembled, cleaned, oiled and regulated) to ensure it it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time. It comes complete with a new 18mm black deBeer ostrich (grain) calf leather strap with matching stainless steel buckle. All in all an excellent and very original mid 1960s stainless automatic from a boutique Swiss watch firm – I would be surprised if I came across another like it in my lifetime.

Since 1998, Holben's Fine Watches' goal has been happy customers. I’ve always loved Bulova, an American company of great repute. It was founded by Czech immigrant Joseph Bulova and based in New York City, where the famous Bulova Observatory was located, high above a skyscraper on Fifth Avenue. Like Gruen, it also had a factory in (Bienne) Switzerland, established in 1912 and dedicated to the production of watch components and their assembly into jeweled movements. The firm is known for its aggressive advertising campaigns and for being the first to advertise on radio – with an announcer stating “B U L O V A… 8:00p.m., Bulova Watch Time.”
Pure and simple, this is one truly fine Art Deco era wristwatch – a ladies 14kt Solid White Gold HONORA/i> model with 4 green emeralds and 2 genuine diamonds securely set. This particular model dates to 1930 (as per its date stamp on mechanism) and

Page 21: holben/Descriptions/April 22, 2013.d… · Web viewto a limited number of countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan

is complete with its original 14k solid gold filigree clasp attached to a new grosgrain ribbon band.
Triple-signed for Bulova (case, dial and mechanism), it measures 30mm lug tip to lug tip and 16mm in width (19mm with cabochon emerald tip crown). This works out to be 1-3/16 inches long by 5/8 of an inch wide (without crown) and it comes fitted on a the aforementioned ribbon strap that will fit ANY SIZE wrist thanks to its sliding 14kt solid white gold clasp. My Bulova-trained watchmaker David has fully serviced its original 15 jewel, manual wind mechanism to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
The sterling silver, matte enamel finished dial is in excellent condition and without flaw, professionally restored to its correct, original status. It features black enamel painted Arabic numbers, a crisp checkered 60 minute inner track border, original cobalt blue steel Spade-tip hands and a finely engraved Florentine inner dial. Signed BULOVA below the 12 and embossed SWISS at the dial base.
The solid glass crystal is in excellent condition and without flaw, removed for some photos to prevent glare. The finely engraved case is a 14kt Solid White Gold and in excellent PLUS condition, truly spotless. The highlight of the bezel has to be the four diamond shaped (synthetic) emeralds and two genuine diamonds, all securely set. The cabochon emerald winding crown, a vintage later replacement, is in excellent shape, operating as it should.
Turning the watch over I see that the back lid is in excellent condition- absolutely no wear or engravings. Peeking inside via the secure hinged back case (opens and closes perfectly), I find a fully serviced and high quality Fifteen Jewel, manual wind movement. It is signed Bulova Watch Co., Swiss, [Caliber] 6AP, Fifteen 15 Jewels with a 1930 date code symbol. The inside of the case lid is signed PAT. JUN 10, 1924, BULOVA 14K.
Fully serviced just last week, this watch winds and sets very smoothly while keeping accurate time. It is fitted on a grosgrain ribbon style 10mm wide band with original 14k solid white gold> filigree engraved clasp transferred over to it. This band was intentionally made larger but can be made smaller by sliding the lower clasp section along the band. All in all an excellent example of a what an Art Deco watch is all about – who is going to be wearing this gem in just a short time? Perhaps to the Great Gatsby premier!

Since 1998, Holben's Fine

This fancy lug watch is in excellent PLUS condition and features a 22A caliber mechanism, the FIRST self-winding movement made by Longines entirely in-house when introduced in 1945. The 22A caliber features a subsidiary seconds dial (unusual for an automatic watch of this age) while the 22AS caliber was used for watches with a center ‘sweep’ seconds hand.
Triple-signed, this timepiece measures 42mm lug tip to lug tip and 34mm in width (36mm with gold finished winding crown). This works out to be just over 1-5/8 inches long by just under 1-3/8 inches wide, not counting the crown. Its original 17 jewel, automatic wind Longines mechanism has been fully serviced by my trusted watchmaker David to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
The silver, matte enamel finished cross-hair dial is in flawless condition and has been professionally restored to its original status. It features applied 18kt solid gold numerals and faceted hour markers, original gold metal Dauphine style hands and a less commonly seen (for an automatic) recessed sub-seconds dial with sweep seconds hand. Signed LONGINES below the 12 with applied gold trademark (winged hourglass) and AUTOMATIC above the seconds dial. It is further signed SWISS at the base of the dial.
The domed acrylic crystal in excellent condition with no flaws. It is in excellent PLUS condition with absolutely no flaws, arguably nicer than my photos convey with fancy lugs. The matching yellow gold filled winding crown is unmarked and in excellent shape, operating smoothly.
Turning the watch over I find that the 14kt. solid yellow gold back lid is snap down in design and in excellent PLUS condition with no wear or engravings. It is stamped 14K GOLD along one edge and AUTOMATIC on the opposite side. My longtime favorite U.S. watch firm is the Elgin National Watch Company, a prolific American firm established in 1864 on 35 acres of land donated by the City of Elgin, Illinois (the factory had a National Street address).
I am very pleased to offer for sale this 18kt Solid White Gold ladies Elgin timepiece, looking as pretty today as she did back in 1922 when she left the factory – one of the very FIRST Art Deco designed watches made by Elgin or any other American watch firm. This finely engraved elongated Tonneau Form timepiece measures 33mm lug tip to lug tip and 24mm in width (27mm with cabochon sapphire crown). In inches this works out to be just over 1-1/4 inches long by 1 inch in width, not including the crown. Attached to the watch is a grosgrain ribbon band with its original 14kt Solid White Gold Clasp. This band is a longer size and can be shortened very easily by sliding the bottom section of the clasp along the band. It has been fully serviced by my talented watchmaker David and its original Elgin U.S.A. manual wind mechanism winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
The antique white, matte enamel finished dial is in excellent condition, professionally restored to its correct original status. Features include a checkered 60 minute border, black enamel painted numerals and original blue steel hands. Signed ELGIN below the 12. Note
The solid glass crystal is in excellent, clear condition. The 18 Karat Solid White

Gold, hinged-back case is a tour-de-force of engraved Art Deco detailing, complete with floral and geometric designs on both the bezel and along the case sides. It is in excellent condition with no wear whatsoever. I have sold this model before and it is rare to find one in 18k solid gold as the vast majority were 14kt solid gold or gold filled. The cabochon sapphire (colored glass) winding crown is in excellent shape, setting and winding as it should.
Turning the watch over I note that the back lid features a finely engraved border with fan motifs at each side. At the center is a tasteful Art Deco monogram HWL – as pretty as the factory engravings. Peeking inside I find a 10/0 Size (Grade 447) Fifteen Jewel movement, signed Elgin, U.S.A. with serial number #24,214,136, dating this watch to ca 1922 as per production records. The inside of the case lid is stamped BELAIS 18K. The name Belais is synonymous with 18kt solid white gold, the Belais brothers of New York inventing this solid gold coloring as an alternative to platinum. I guarantee that this watch is 18ct solid gold (0.750).
This cleaned, oiled & regulated original beauty winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time. It comes fitted with a 10mm black grosgrain ribbon band of a generous size (easily adjustable) that is complete with its original 14kt solid white gold clasp, finely engraved and in excellent shape. A lovely watch for a lovely lady who wishes to discover her Flapper roots, put this gem on and you will be doing the Charleston in no time!

Since 1998, Holben's Fine Watches' goal has been happy customers. Founded in 1926 by Jacob Schneider as Wullimann, Schneider, Nivada, the Nivada Watch Company of Gretchen, Switzerland was a prominent force within the watch industry for most of the 20th century. They produced a number of models over the years, including the Aquamatic, Antarctic, and Depthomatic.
In my experience as a collector, Nivada Grenchen watches are of very high quality but still a sleeper brand when it comes to the general collecting public, much like Mido, Doxa or Eterna. As such, you can find some very high quality, unique models for less than your comparable Longines, Bulova or Omega.
I am pleased to offer for sale the following men’s

Nivada model, a Retro Modern design Leonardo da Vinci model in excellent, all original condition. This timepiece dates to ca 1970 and is the first that I have ever owned or sold. When I first saw it I knew I would have fun selling it since it has such a unique Space Age look and a great model name.
Quadruple-signed, it measures 41mm lug tip to lug tip and 35mm in width (37.5mm with original Nivada crown). In inches this works out to be 1-5/8 inches in length by 1-3/8 inches wide, not including the winding crown but it shows a bit larger on the wrist given its large crystal and narrow bezel framing. It is powered by its original yellow gold finished, 17 jewel rotor automatic mechanism (ETA 2770 base caliber) that has fully serviced to ensure it runs smoothly and keeps accurate time.
The 100% original light gold, finely brushed enamel finished dial is in MINT condition, untouched since it left the factory forty odd years ago. It features a 60 second checkered outer chapter, crosshair design dial, original gold metal hands and original sweep gold center seconds hand. Signed Nivada Automatic below the XII and Leonardo Da Vinci above the VI. It is further signed Swiss Made at the base of the dial.
The armored acrylic crystal is original and in excellent, clear condition. The case is 14kt Yellow Gold electroplated (to 20 microns) and features a brushed bezel and polished sides. It is in great overall condition with some brassing along the back edge adjacent to the back lid. Note how the engraved black enamel Roman numerals are actually part of the case, a concave RING around the bezel, very unique. The original gold finished crown is stamped N for Nivada and in great shape, winding and setting smoothly.
Turning the watch over I note that the screw down stainless back lid is stamped Stainless Steel Back Lid, Gold Electroplated Bezel, Compensmatic, Shock Resistant, Antimagnetic, Swiss Made. It has some fine, small scratches but is in excellent overall shape. Taking a look inside I find a clean and high quality yellow gold finished self-winding rotor automatic mechanism stamped Nivada Watch Co., Seventeen 17 Jewels, Swiss. Below the balance wheel it is stamped ETA 2770 C5 (this caliber was first produced in 1969). The inside of the case back is stamped Nivada Watch Co., Switzerland, ETA 2770, 4994.
This timepiece has been fully serviced (disassembled, cleaned, oiled & regulated) to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate

Founded in 1892, the Hamilton Watch Company of Lancaster, PA would not officially start its watch production until March 1894, producing pocket watches mainly of railroad grade. By 1908 Hamilton was producing a lady’s pendant watch and by 1919 a small line of wristwatches were available, but for women only! Yes, Hamilton entered the men’s wristwatch market rather late, introducing their first non-military men’s watches in November 1922, a good 10 years after Illinois, Elgin and Waltham. Well, they quickly caught up with the other American firms, producing the highest-grade American watches ever made.
I am happy to offer for sale the following vintage late 1960s Hamilton timepiece, a ladies 14kt Solid White Gold & 14 Diamond model that is in absolutely pristine, original condition. This watch appears to have been rarely (if ever) worn and is quadruple-signed for Hamilton, on the dial, winding crown, case and mechanism.
It measures 32mm end to end and 15mm in width (16.5mm with Hamilton-signed crown). This converts to 1-1/4 inches long by 5/8 of an inch wide, including the winding crown and it is fitted on its black cord strap with matching color fittings and clasp. It currently measures 7-1/2 inches in total, wearable length and I can adjust this shorter or longer for the winner. It is powered by its original Hamilton 768 caliber, 17 jewel mechanism that has been fully serviced by my watchmaker David just last week. As such, it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
The 100% original antique white, matte enamel finished dial is in excellent condition, untouched since it left the factory in the late 1960s. This dial features applied silver hour markers and original silver steel Baton-style hands. Signed LADY HAMILTON below the12 with company trademark above the 6. It is further signed SWISS at the base of the dial.
The original acrylic crystal is in excellent shape. The case is in pristine condition, a Retro Modern beauty crafted of 14 Karat Solid White Gold and featuring Fourteen Genuine Diamonds of high clarity that simply sparkle. Note the finely brushed bezel providing a pleasing juxtaposition to the sparkle of the diamonds. The original white gold Hamilton signed winding crown is in excellent shape, operating smoothly.
Turning the watch over I see that the back lid is in excellent – mint shape and has no wear or engravings. It is stamped HAMILTON at one edge and 14K GOLD at the other side.

Peeking inside I find a clean barrel-form movement that is signed Hamilton Watch Co., Seventeen 17 Jewels, Swiss, Caliber 768. The inside of the case back is stamped HAMILTON W. CO., LANCASTER, PA, 14K GOLD , L&W, 23805.
This immaculate timepiece has been disassembled, cleaned, oiled and regulated to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time. It is fitted on a black cord bracelet that will fit a wrist up to 7-1/2 inches and I can shorten this for the winner (even make it longer). Well then, who is going to be the new owner of this beautiful, diamond encrusted Hamilton? If you think the photos look nice I can assure you it is even more impressive in person.

Since 1998, Holben's Fine Watches' goal has been happy customers.
