Welcome to XAT 2021

XAT 2021 will be conducted on Sunday, January 03, 2021. XLRI conducts test on behalf of the XAMI. For more than 71 years XLRI is conducting test at all India level to select the most appropriate candidate for management education. XAT, one of the oldest competitive examinations in the country, has always kept pace with the cutting-edge testing methodology. XAT’s multidimensional testing framework, is designed to meaningfully asses the aptitude of candidates for future business success. XAT score is being used by more than 100 institutes for the admission.

and click on “Register “ enter Name, Email Id, contact details and set password. A system generated email/message will be communicated to you. Candidate should save it for future communication.

3In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing “SAVE AND EXIT “ tab. Prior to submission of the online application, candidates are advised to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify the details to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.

2A candidate must verify his email by clicking on the link and proceed to complete the application procedure.

7Candidate is supposed to upload Photo, signature, 10th , 12th, graduation & work experience details. Click on declaration and verify the details thoroughly before submitting the application form.

Candidates has to fill the work experience(if eligible) and proceed to choose programme details.

9Select XLRI programme as per your preference if you want to study in XLRI. (Through XAT or Through GMAT)

12Click on the “Submit” button to submit your application.

8Applicant details cannot be edited once the application form is submitted after payment.

11Click on the “Payment” Tab after filling the application form.

5Candidates can proceed to fill Academic and Work experience details of the Application Form.

4Name of the candidate or his /her Father’s name/ Mother’s name etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

SECTION A

10Select the XAT Test City preference. Candidates can choose 2 preferred test cities while filling XAT Application form. Candidates are advised to choose test city closer to their city of residence. However, the final authority to allot the TEST CITY rests with authority. (You can edit the test city preference only once before November 30, 2020.)

XAT Registration Fee (without late fee) – Rs. 1750/- Candidates interested in XLRI programmes needs to pay an additional fee of Rs. 300/- each.

XAT Registration Fee (with late fee) – Rs 2050/- Candidates interetsed in XLRI programmes needs to pay an additional fee of Rs. 500/- each.

Indian Candidates applying for GMP through GMAT– Rs. 2500/-

NRI/Foreign Candidates applying for one or more programmes through GMAT– Rs. 5000/-

Payment of Fees

INSTRUCTIONS1. The application form is integrated with the payment

gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions.

2. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay / Visa / Master Card / Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

3. After submitting your payment information, PLEASE WAIT FOR THE INTIMATION FROM THE SERVER. DO NOT PRESS BACK OR REFRESH BUTTON IN ORDER TO AVOID DOUBLE PAYMENT

4. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated. Non-generation of ‘E-Receipt’ indicates PAYMENT FAILURE. On failure of payment, Candidates are advised to login again using their registered Email ID and Password and repeat the process of payment.

5. Candidates are required to save the e-Receipt and online Application Form. Please note that if the same cannot be generated, online transaction may not have been successful.

6. For Card charges are listed in Indian Rupee. If you use a non-Indian credit card holder, your bank will convert to your local currency based on prevailing exchange rates.

There is facility to download/print application form containing fee details after payment of fees.

Before applying online a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his / her photograph, signature, 10th,12th & Work experience certificate (if any) as per the specifications given below.

• IN CASE THE FACE IN THE PHOTOGRAPH OR SIGNATURE IS UNCLEAR, THE APPLICATION MAY BE REJECTED.

• CANDIDATE MAY EDIT THE APPLICATION AND RE-UPLOAD THE PHOTOGRAPH/SIGNATURE IN SUCH CASE.

Photograph Image• Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture.

• The picture should be in colour, against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.

• Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.

• If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.

• If you have to use flash, ensure there’s no “red-eye”.

• If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.

• Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.

• Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred).

• Size of file should be between 20KB-50KB.

• Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50KB. If the size of the file is more than 50KB, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours etc., during the process of scanning.

Signature Image• The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.

• The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.

• The Signature will be used to put on the ADMIT CARD and wherever necessary.

• The Applicant’s signature obtained on the ADMIT CARD and attendance sheet at the time of the examination should match the uploaded signature. In case of mismatch, the candidate may be disqualified.

• Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).

• Size of file should be between 10KB —20KB.

• Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB.

Scanning the Photograph & Signature• Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per

inch).

• Set Color to True Color.

• File Size as specified above.

• Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).

• The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is: image01.jpg or image01.jpeg Image dimensions can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon. Candidates using MS Windows/MS Office can easily obtain photo and signature in .jpeg format not exceeding 50KB & 20KB respectively by using MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager. Scanned photograph and signature in any format can be saved in .jpg format by using ‘Save As’ option in the File menu and size can be reduced below 50KB (photograph) & 20KB (signature) by using crop and then resize option.

If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed. While filling in the Online Application Form the candidate will be provided with a link to upload his photograph and signature. Procedure for Uploading the Photograph and Signature

1. There will be separate links for uploading the documents.

2. Click on the respective link to upload.

3. Browse & Select the location where the Scanned Photo/ Signature file has been saved.

4. Select the file by clicking on it.

5. Click on the “Upload” button.

Important Points to be remembered while applying:Visit www.xatonline.in and click on “Register”. If already registered, you may kindly click on “Existing User” or “Login” to proceed.

Basic Info: Once you complete the application XAT ID will be generated. Candidates should note down their XAT ID for future communication.

• Please quote your email and mobile number (provided during the registration) and XAT ID for all future communications.

• Please ensure that you provide a valid email id and mobile number.

• Please ensure that you use your personal email address only as your primary email address in the application. (If you use your official email address and in case you switch job, it would be difficult for us to communicate with you).

• Please add admis@xlri.ac.in as trusted sources in the anti-Spam software of your email. Otherwise, either you will not receive important emails, or they will get delivered to your Spam/junk folder.

• Please access your emails regularly and ensure that your inbox is accessible.

• Please ensure that you give your correct mobile No. to receive SMS alerts.

Procedure for applying to other institutions using XAT scores for short listing candidates for admission.

Candidates desirous of joining any of the Institutes given in SECTION C has to follow the steps given below:

• Register for XAT 2021 at www.xatonline.in . Further details can be obtained from the respective Institution’s website or from their Admissions office. Accordingly, follow their registration/application procedure. Candidates interested in XLRI programme(s) needs to pay an additional fee of Rs.300/- each.

• Candidates may please note that XLRI does not ascertain quality of the degree or programme(s) offered by other Institutions using XAT scores.

• Please note that each institution independently decides the weightages to be given for each of the test components based on its needs. XLRI does not play any role in selection of the candidates in these institutes.

Note:• All payments made for registration of XAT and XLRI

are non-refundable. The XAT Score Card containing the performance of the candidate in XAT 2021 has to be download by the candidates from www.xatonline.in between January and March 31, 2021.

SECTION D - Candidate through GMATCandidates may choose to apply through GMAT score obtained during December 01, 2018 and December 31, 2020 for following XLRI programmes.

* Indian candidates can only apply for General Management Programme through GMAT score.

*NRI and Foreign candidates in addition to the above programmes may also apply for Business Management and Human Resource Management programmes using GMAT score.

Modify details, if required, and click on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded, and other details filled by you are correct.

Steps to Register through GMAT

Candidates are advised to fill the form carefully and verify the details before the final submission. No changes will be entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.

Name of the candidate or his /her Father’s name/ Mother’s name etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing “SAVE AND NEXT” tab. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify the same before the final submission.

Visit xatonline.in and click on “Register “ enter Name, Date of Birth, Contact details and Email-id. A system generated XAT ID and Password will be communicated to you through Email/SMS. Candidate should note down the XAT ID and Password for future communication.
