This change in the computer system will mean that all data on the computers will be DELETED.

To ensure that data you want to keep is safe either copy it to a USB flash drive or upload it to your Google Drive. Instructions for how to use Google Drive are below

1. Once logged in, open Google Chrome

2. Search “Google Drive” in the top bar

5. Enter the name you use to log into the computer followed by @education.nsw.gov.au and click “Next”

6. Enter your login details

7. Now you are in your drive. You can access all your files from here and this is where you can access your Google Docs, Slides and Sheets.For now, click on “New” then “File Upload”

8. Then in your file explorer, select the files you want to upload. (It won’t delete the original)To select multiple things to upload, either hold CTRL and click on multiple things or draw a box around the group you want to upload.

In the bottom right you will see the progress of how long it will take to upload

Your files should now be in your Google Drive. You can now close the internet and then log in on any computer following these same steps and get to your files without a USB.

9. To get your files back, select the files you want to download, right click and click download.

10. To find these files, go into “Computer” and then click “Downloads” as shown here

11. If you selected to download more than one file, it will put it into a .ZIP folder so then it’s smaller to download. To get them out of this folder, right click it and click “Extract All” then “Extract”

12. You have now finished!
