Writing-Formal Letter

Your task is to write a formal letter of application. You need to apply for your dream job. This could be to

be a professional footballer, a vet, a musician, a teacher, a cleaner, a chef, an engineer etc… The

possibilities are endless! Remember you are trying to persuade the reader to give you your dream job so

you will need to explain why you are perfect for the role. Below, you will find the example text we have

already used this year (a letter of application to teach at Hogwarts) and you will also find another example

(a letter of application to be a secret agent). Try to ensure you maintain a formal tone throughout – you

can use some of the words and phrases on the word mat below to help you.
