Good Monday Y5!

So, how are you all getting on this week? After looking at Ancient Greece

yesterday I have decided that as soon as I can I really want to visit Greece.

Do you think I might find a Minotaur?

Whilst searching for a knew photo of a kangaroo for the previous slide I came

across a poem ‘The Duck and the Kangaroo’ written by Edward Lear. Edward

Lear was an English artist, illustrator, musician, author and poet, now known

mostly for his nonsense poems and especially his limericks. He lived around

a 150 years ago (1812-1888). Click on the picture below to hear it. Don’t be

put off by the ominous sound of the bell tolling at he beginning! It doesn’t

carry on for long!

Today we are learning: to add decimal numbers, to find synonyms and to

create Cuban rhythms!

Have a lovely day
