• “Weblog” Coined by Jon Barger in 1997; shortened to“blog” by Peter Merholz in 1999.

• Now used as both a noun and a verb

• Basically, writing down what you think

• Engaging participants with content: inspires reflection, critical thinking, questioning, exploring, and

reacting
