Tips to Plan Your DaysPlanning Your Days• Prioritize the presentations and programs you would like to virtually attend.

If possible, split up sessions between family and friends. You can cover more program activities and compare notes at the end of each day.

• Visit sjsu.edu/admittedspartandays today to Pre-Register! All special topic workshops require registration, with some hitting maximum capacity due to Zoom limitations. Several key sessions will repeat, and many sessions will be recorded and shared at sjsu.edu/admittedspartandays

• Be sure to visit the Resource Fair to learn about becoming a Spartan and connecting with resources to support your experience at SJSU.

Software RequirementsWe will be using YouTube and Zoom. You will need an internet connection and a device that has working audio. Please download the latest Zoom software prior to the event. If you already have Zoom on your computer or mobile phone, be sure it is the most updated version. Our IT staff will also be available via live chat to assist you via sjsu.edu/it/support/service-desk

Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering Welcome EventDr. Sheryl Ehrman, Dean of the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering, will describe our 13 disciplines in the college which also includes 6,500 students and more than 400 faculty and staff. She will share how the college provides hands-on experience to students and prepares engineers who will contribute to our rapidly changing world. Dean Ehrman will feature several recent graduates and their accomplishments, highlighting that Silicon Valley employs more entry-level engineers from SJSU than any other university in the country. Join the Guardian Scholars Program (GSP)For former foster youth, wards of the court, unaccompanied homeless youth, and youth under legal guardianship the GSP staff invites you to come learn about the program, campus resources for foster youth, and how to apply to become a Guardian Scholar. After the presentation, the GSP staff will host Q&A.

Supported Instruction and Early StartDepending upon your high school record, you may be required to take supported coursework in mathematics and writing in your first year at the CSU. This workshop will discuss supported course options at SJSU and who must participate in them. We will also look at changes to the Early Start Program (ESP), a supported summer activity that is mandatory for some students and optional for others. We will review your options for completing Early Start through SJSU and other CSU campuses and discuss how your selection may affect your fall schedule.
